This is a medieval au ok
Your oc was the prince/princess of the royal kingdom you were supposed to be getting a new knight and you heard that something different would be happening turns out the he was a she a woman would be guarding you your oc was confused but hope she could do her job right your oc had heard that in another kingdom they would be having a ball and you were determined to make maroon come too because she didn't think it was a good idea at all
(Ship woman preferred because she is kinda cold to men cause bad experience

Maroon had a blank expression and didn't respond that was one of the rules don't speak unless spoken too
She looked at her "Yes miss don't worry about me do you need something?" She asked in a calm voice
"I mean we could hangout and maybe do what you like" *they said with light blush on her face*
She looked at her and lifted her sunglasses (idc if it's medieval-) her soft green eyes were wide with surpise "no one's ever asked me that before"
Her face went red when she was about to call her hun "uh yeah well I know you've been bugging me about that party for a few days now and if you really wanna go then fine"
She nodded a little "Well uh don't really 'relax' as people say"
"Uh I try and find my mother so I'm up most of the night" she looked down at her gloved hands

Maroon continued to have her arms crossed the door was open though cause ya know how parents are under her sunglasses her soft green eyes wandered into the room playing with the tooth pick in her mouth
She looked kinda like a child huddled up in the blankets and playing with her phone
Her expression went soft and so did her eyes she smiled a little bit
Maroon shifted her weight a little awkwardly "sorry ma'am" she said her voice back to normal cold expression
She looked at her "ball?" Under her sunglasses she looked confused
Kila smiled and waved her phone "look!" it showed some sort of ball invite or smth
She walked into the room and looked and made a uh uh noise "you gotta ask your parents besides party's are dangerous"
Hahah her face went red like the lesbian she is she gave in "f fine I'll ask for your parents permission if they say yes you may go"

"Yay!!" she jumped happily and hugged her
She flinched but awkwardly hugged back

She nodded "well ill be right back miss" she left for a little bit and came back after awhile "they have granted you permission and uh gave me orders to accompany you at this party" she seemed a bit hesitant at that part
"yAY!" she jumped up and down. "I can't wait!" she dashed to her closet
She smiled a little and went to get dressed in her good suit at the ball was starting today
after she was done, she glided mockingly out of the door "oh look at me im gliding!"
She chuckled and holy shit she was that badass kinda pretty in a black and white suit with her hair more fixed with the iconic sunglasses which not a lot of people have seen her eyes "you look lovely"
so like um what happens at the ball ))
she stopped, puffing and checking her watch. "Only 10 minutes before it starts, come on!"
They eventually got to the ball and maroon stepped out opening the door for her
she stepped out, her dress trailing along "thank you once again" she smiled
She nodded she was back in professional mode so no smile she walked straight posture hands behind her back with her guard up staying close behind her

She entered the grand room, lookikng around excitedly

Maroon stood close to her with a hard expression reading the room to make sure its safe
She followed silently she seemed to be uncomfortable but hid it very well
Everything was fancy as hell ofc lol maroon just stood there until some people started coming up to them she stood infront of her very protectively which might have been embarrassing
She kinda turned red but she said reassuringly, "It's fine, they're just asking one of us to dance i think"
A man was leading the crowd she looked nervous and uh stared shaking weirdly which uh never happened like ever
"Y yeah miss" the man stopped and held his hand out to maroon who glared through her sunglasses "may I have this dance?" The slow music was starting up
Maroon eyes saddened she desperately didn't want to be touched by this guy but she very shakily put her hand in his and he took her to the ball floor
They danced for a bit maroon was uh very close to her breaking point but was hiding it well
The dancing soon ended and maroon took off to the bathroom very quickly
Kila looked worried but she decided that maroon should have some alone time
She was against the end wall if the bathroom her head hung and knees pulled against her chest her hair was down now and her sunglasses were near her boots there was a quiet sobbing sound that shook her body some
She was actually crying which uh never happened she realized she entered and quickly wiped her face hiding her face aswell "o oh sorry your highness" her voice cracked a little
She looked at her and wow she had soft green eyes stricken with worry she wiped the tears away with a sad smile
Kila be like: tf she actually had eyes?- ))
she was crying like a little child, her hands balled up into fists that were wiping away tears
She chuckled a little and hugged tightly like she was squeezing the sadness away

She just shook her head "it's not really my decision your highness but I think it's a bad idea could be dangerous" she fixed her sunglasses which she never seemed to take off

Jane frowned, smoothing out her gown.
‘Well, I suppose you do make a valid point, it’s not you decision, besides the carriage will be taking off soon.” She said, somewhat snob-ish as she fixed her royal crown.

She just sighed and did a small bow "yes your highness"

The young princess smiled and nodded, oddly feeling accomplished for getting the better half and winning the argument, even though maroon didn’t have much choice but to obey.
‘‘Come along then.’’ She said, giving a small hand gesture, as she made her way to the royal palace gates
She scowled a little before turning back to her blank expression "yes ma'am" she followed with her guard up still

Other royal Guard’s guarding the gates opened it for the two, outside was the royal garden, surrounded by a vast variety of flowers of all kinds, the princess gracefully walked past them on a small stone path, slightly holding the sides of her gown to keep dirt from getting on the bottom. Slightly revealing her ✨fancy✨ Shoes.
As she did so, she hummed slightly, in a pleasant tone
Maroon stayed silent the entire time with her guard up and a cold expression ready to snap someone's neck if they even laid a finger on the princess the expression probably intimated the guards by the door lol
