A darkship is a fictional ship that is problematic, with a dynamic that is harmful in real life. These include ships that are 1nc3stu0u5, abusive, p3d0ph1l1c, etc
I support darkships only because it's not harming real people, if there's something somebody is doing irl like inc_st, abuse, r@pe, etc, then obviously there's no way someone should support that. However darkshipping and comshipping is a coping mechanism that is even seen as perfectly fine by therapists.
Darkshipping is a non-harmful tool people can use to cope with their own paraphilias, disorders, etc. There is no excuse for actions people choose to make that harm somebody else, however there is perfectly good reason for darkshipping to be a valid mechanism to cope.
As much as I support darkshipping and comshipping, I also must say that if you feel the need to, please seek help. I am a darkshipper as well, and I'm going to therapy for help with my intrusive thoughts and other things! Darkshipping is helpful until it's not, and things can escalate if not tended to by professionals. Not saying problems ALWAYS arise from darkshipping, just saying that sometimes people lose the ability to cope that way and this leads them down a path of harm.
That's fair, just please don't let it lead to anything that could harm other people. If you ever feel like you're going to do anything that could be dangerous, please let someone know. It's better to get help when you need it.
