well ill start, and also Apex is a big sweetie despite being a demon King -- Apex looked around at the demons below him, trying to find the one he had been looking for.

Apex unfurled his wings, then dove into the chaos, grabbing Torvus by his arms and lifting him out of the crowd, landing back on the throne platform. ((good start :]))

Apex lowered his head in greeting, then stood up straight. "My name is Apex, it's a pleasure."

Apex laughed. "No need to apologize, Torvus, you did nothing wrong."

Apex growled at a nearby demon that was attempting to attack, and the demon whimpered and immediately submitted.

Apex, sighed stressfully. "My Father keeps sending them after me, he thinks I'm too soft to be a King, I'm not soft, I'm just..." he sighed again, pressing two fingers to his temples.

Apex smiled. "Well I'm glad you think so, and-" He was cut off as another demon, a bigger one, attempted to attack them both. He roared, and a pure burst of force knocked the demon back into the voids. His markings glowed blood red and his eyes were black voids.

Apex inhaled deeply. "A dragon taught me how to channel my power, so that it doesn't spiral out of control." His wings unfurled, they were huge.

((le oof)) Apex noticed this, and made him sit down. He then sat down himself, trying to calm himself.

Apex was seething now, smoke pluming from his mouth.

Apex didn't respond, he coughed, and pitch black blood rand down his chin. ((so to clarify whenever his mouth starts smoking it means his insides are too hot due to anger, and he starts unknowingly harming himself.))

Apex coughed again, his anger rising, and he started to cough violently.

Apex drank the water, steam coming up his throat as a result of the heat

Apex laughed. "It's overheating..."

Apex sighed, steam billowing from his mouth. "I just need... to calm myself..."

Apex blew steam, thinking about something he hadn't thought about in a long time, and he smiled, his temperature dropping.

Apex had completely calmed down, thinking of the little axolotl warrior he had met the other day, smiling.

Apex nodded and made a hum sound.

Apex wagged his tail, his mood seeming more positive. He gave Torvus a warm smile.

Apex closed his fist, then opened it again, and a small feather appeared in his hand, glowing blood red, and healing Apex.

Apex wagged his tail. "It's a Shudai, a healing charm. They're very tricky to make."

Apex laughed. "I could teach you, if you'd like."

((it posted twice LOL)) Apex laughed, amused. "Well, then, come with me." He got up and lifted a curtain behind his throne, gesturing.

Apex led him to a small room, with jars full of herbs and boxes with unknown contents, the room smelled like lavender and honeysuckle.

Apex sat on the floor. "Do you have a feather? It can be any kind."

Apex smiled. "Well, you'll only need one, a Shudai can be used an infinite amount of times."

Apex nodded. "Now then, we'll need honey and echinacea, and an empty soul."

Apex took hold of the honey, and explained. "You mix the honey an echinacea first, then give it to the soul, and it becomes a healer wisp, and possesses the feather, making a Shudai."

Apex demonstrated, mixing the ingredients, then feeding the mixture to the soul, which then became a cute little golden wisp that squeaked happily.

The wisp wagged its little tail, then stood up, sniffing at the feathers in Torvus's hand.

The wisp turned into pure energy and possessed one of the feathers, and it turned gold. Apex smiled. "And there you have it, a Shudai."

Apex smiled warmly. "My pleasure, I can always teach you more, just ask."

Apex laughed, Torvus's smile made him feel happy.

Apex tilted his head. "Well, I needed someone to look after this little thing." He brought out an uncut gem that was black and red, glowing with mysterious energy.

"In my wardrobe, it seems to be a powerful relic, and i need to find it's owner."

Apex tilted his head again. "I don't know, this palace wasn't originally mine, it could be that."

Apex held the gem in his hand cautiously.
