LinkI don’t know what you guys think, but I think people are just starting to hate on Ai images just to hate, yes OF COURSE the way MOST people use it is bad, calling it their own art and I KNOW that it’s also bad that ai makes these images using other people’s art, BUT, it’s not like it directly copies an image online, it uses tiny bits of thousands of images to create its own, we read a bunch of books and have an idea for our own story which has inspiration from all this bunches of books we read, no? BUT I guess you could still argue it’s bad, I get it if you don’t like that alright?
WHAT I AM MAD AT THOUGH is that i see MANY small businesses using ai images for logos and covers, personally, i think that’s awesome, it’s amazing how ai is helpful to these small businesses who can’t afford to commission a good logo, i think THIS is the way ai images should be used, to help small businesses and people in general, BUT that’s obviously not what I’m mad at, what TRULY makes my blood boil is I keep getting videos

Linkof people VANDALIZING or HIDING products made by small businesses BECAUSE THEY USED AI IMAGES. Your REALLY that petty where your gonna interfere with a small families business profits just because they wanted to use a cheaper alternative to make a logo/cover? and it’s not just like one video that I encountered of people doing this ITS MULTIPLE.
what are YOUR thoughts though cuz I know ai images are a controversial topic

LinkI’m pretty uneducated about this so please don’t take my ramblings to heart,
Everything’s that requires electricity also harms the environment so only calling out AI is unfair, and I KNOW that it’s putting people out of jobs, I’m just stating that small businesses who can’t afford to hire a graphic designer should be allowed to use ai images for their products, of course small businesses are the only exceptions, big businesses like Amazon or Coca Cola have NO RIGHT to use ai for any sort of marketing.
I am not saying people should use AI to make their “own” art or big businesses should capitalize off of it to make more moolah
showing hate and damaging products made by families who can barely afford to feed their families is just not it

People hate AI art cuz it harms the environment plus putting people out of jobs using images trained of off others art without permission wdym bro 💔
Sure the business can be small but Yk what is also cool, small graphic designers looking for any design job offers. Just cuz they small doesn’t excuse the use of AI art. 🙏 tho I do agree not to vandalize the products themselves
Im not a big fan of generative ai because it lacks passion, i think small businesses could draw their own logo even if they never picked up a pencil before in their life. Ai art also looks reallt weird to me and it makes everything look orange (??) Idk the appeal at all but i think ai art would be cool if capitalism didnt exist and if it didnt take others art and i also kindof see what your talking abour with the book thing
I hope someday real art will be like top tier supremacy and people will pay so much money to get their art drawn because they think its so good
i like to use a cake analogy for ai generated images
lets say you have a group of bakers, all of which had spent much of their time learning to bake and perfecting their cake recipe
the bakers are artists
now lets say someone goes to each baker and steals one slice of their cake. its not the whole cake, just one slice of cake from each baker, and then they mash them all together to make an amalgamation of cakes baked by those bakers who spent so long making them
and then this person, the ai, presents it as a completely original cake.
companies realize this instant theft cake monstrosity is completely free to use (minus the amount of energy generative ai takes up, but large companies have never cared about that), so they dont have to pay bakers anymore and simply use their stolen cakes because its good enough
All Im hearing is that they’re lazy errr make your own logo maybe instead of stealing from others logos😢 it’s really not hard, even if they didn’t want to make one themselves they could maybe. And here’s a wild thought here. Commission an actual artist. It’ll look way better and it’s not killing the environment
If you wanna larp about anti AI people being petty and rude so be it but honestly it just proves that people are lazy and money hungry, idc if it’s a big or super small company, either way it’s really ****ing scummy

I’m saying that AI should be used to help small families who are struggling, I don’t think anybody who has the resources to hire someone to make a design for them should use AI. I am also not saying that anti AI people are bad, in fact, I think they are actually right, just not when they are damaging small businesses. And small businesses might want their logos to look decent and they might not have the skills capable to achieve that

I am from a struggling family and all are against AI in business cuz it’s literally the source of people losing jobs. You’re literally using something that puts others into a struggling situation.

i think ai does have terrible impacts on the earth tho and like if it didnt exist i think it'd be better but you have like a point with small businesses and if they dont have the budget to commission artists then thats great, just if they replace it when they do have the budget bc yk artists support artists

Ai is meant to be a tool to help people, it should be used to help people who actually need help, for example small businesses??? That was kind of the point of AI, to help people
