well excuse me then, if you look at any amazing animator you see they have a sketching phase to know where to put things.
Most of the time if I sketch something it's very vague, like a stick figure to get the proportions right.
But I rarely sketch, only if it's realism or a dynamic pose or smth.
I sketch when I get bored but when I'm working on something like realistic art I make a sketch you could say but it's not mess lines like the example above I always see
