so if you want a nice smooth shading, first you pick out the color your shading with, for example, black tip -black is very strong so you have to tone it down to about 0.25/0.5 or lower but theres a alternative way, Lower the opacity on the color your shading with to about 0.75/1.00 go over with the spots u wanna shade then go onto eraser and with the same color, lower it to 0.25/100 or 0.05 if wanted then eraser it, kinda like a gradient way?
