Your oc is at some formal ball. Nobility hosted them all the time, but this one was extremely important for some reason.
Your oc decided to get away from the crowd and walked to the upstairs of the ballroom, which was relatively empty aside from a few people.
A very specific person caught your eye.
General Lunaria, someone they’d heard of however you feel like picking. He was the general of the far away Crescent Empire, and had so far won every war he’d fought in. He’d supposedly overthrown basically-gods twice, raised a prophecy child and brought the aforementioned empire back from near-collapse without ever caring for what happened to him. It was likely much of it was rumors or over exaggeration, but he had quite a reputation overseas nonetheless.
So what was he doing by himself?

LinkOh, heads up, this oc is deaf ( if you magically know that by looking at him like 99% of people im ignoring you, educated guesses are fine) and like 6’10.
Ooo.. uh, well i have this woman and she's a tiefling. I have yet to draw her yet. But her dad's of high status.
Mabel raised a brow, having a drink in her hands. Her horns and tail were heavily outfitted with gold and silver accessories. She wore a kimono, blue and green with black accents. Her long black hair in a braid. She promptly walked over, leaning up against the wall next to him. Looking over, she started signing 'what are you doing here by yourself?' She gave a small genuine smile.
He glanced up, visibly hesitating.
` Nothing. Do you need anything? ` He signed back. It was surprisingly readable considering one of his hands was made out of floating rock.
she tilted her head, her ears twitching. `well, you were just by yourself, someone like you should be covered in women in all honesty` she laughed.
` It’s too crowded down there. ` He shrugged. `Plus, I have a boyfriend. I’d rather avoid women like that anyhow.`
she nodded, looking around. `I don't blame you.` she sipped her drink, physically cringing at the taste.

Lunaria didn’t see him. He showed no signs of acknowledging his presence in general. He could smell him because his species is doglike ( thank you, past me. there are so many jokes. ), but he didn’t think it entirely necessary to start a conversation unless the other approached.
