Let’s face it,yt and yt passing standard people are the standard for everything, including gender identity and lgbtq culture. This has a big effect on young lgbtq youth who dont have any role models for people who look like them in transition or coming or or even presenting themselves with their pronouns. To be accepted as nonbinary for example ,you must be yt or yt passing, present as masc leaning and be skinny,or try to emulate the standard as closely as you can.It will always be easier for yt lgbtq people to be accepted by society as their sexuality and gender and will have an easier time finding validation with the public whereas Bipoc youth will be pushed aside and not being taken seriously for these parts of their identity.Yes representation for lgbtq is important and they are still a marginalized group but we have to acknowledge that bipoc have been in the movement forever and deserve to be there too.

LinkRepresentation is so important, especially within the lgbtq community. That’s why the “you dont look enby” or “you can’t be trans” or “how do you KNOW your-insert sexuality here-?” is unfairly targeted @ the lgbtq bipoc community but it isn’t talked about.Yt lgbtq do face oppression but thats not an excuse to stifle ,dismiss or ignore the way bipoc lgbtq face discrimination in the movement, like how yt gay men using aave is accepted or how biphobia is unfairly targeted at black men and women. The lgbtq movement was made to be inclusive.its time to live up to that
