I think the main term is taking a character and giving them your own headcanons and then cosplaying them on roblox?? But then the second term is apparently when people try to make their roblox game reminiscent of older games

I srsly don't get why ppl call everything that's blocky 'retroslop,' or STYLIZED cosplays,,
I make blocky ocs and it gets called retroslop :/
late to this but retroslop is so so overused in the wrong context it pmo 😭😭
retroslop actually means someone has attempted to recreate the classic roblox style (like from 2008 to the 2010s) and has failed to do so and it ends up looking unpolished and corny, however the term has lost its original meaning and people direct it towards people who cosplay (esp regretevator/forsaken/roblox admin cosplayers) especially those who over-accessorize just to be haters
by all means even if you are considered actual retroslop, dress your avatar how you want 🥀
