Junji Ito's Uzumaki is one of my favorite (if not my absolute favorite) works of horror of all time. The concept of cursed towns and being trapped within them is one of my favorite plots, and the element of cosmic horror is a wonderful choice. I am a long time fan of the works of H.P. Lovecraft (his works, not him as a person) and cosmic horror is one of my favorite sub genres. Not to mention the art of Uzumaki. Breathtaking. Overall, this story is one of my all time biggest inspirations, and I will always treasure it.
