After Rustypaw and Foxfern's deaths, Blueleaf falls into a deep depression. Blackwing worries for him, but he stays quiet and doesn't ask for any help. Later on, he becomes mates with Blackwing and has two pups with her. Seeing his two new pups he's reminded of his time with Rustypaw when he was a pup. Finally satisfied with himself, he lets himself carry on without worrying much about the past, now looking forward to the new future.
