So, I was laying in my bed, almost asleep at around 1:30 - 2 am and I heard my mom yell at my dad for waking her up to ask him what his phone number was because he can't remember it. Keep in mind, my mom would've needed to wake up anyways because she was sleeping with her glasses on.

My mom decided to think it'd be a good idea to crack open a beer even though she was already visibly drunk so my dad got pissed and snatched it from her, throwing it to the side and my mom took that as throwing it at her. As the can was snatched up it splashed some beer at and my mom said that, he doused her with liquids on purpose and started fighting about that.

As some of you may know, my mother has been an alcoholic for going on 18 years now. My dad got tired of this and told her to get the **** out, or to call her sister to pick her up. He didn't know her phone number so he asked her to call her sister in which point she refused. My brother came in and picked up her phone to try to call her and my mother yelled at him, and I quote "give me my phone back, this is a hostage situation", it obviously wasn't.

So, my drunk mother decided to call the police at 3 am saying there was an emergency and her life was in danger. The police arrived and I had to keep my pet chicken from going down the stairs until they left, but it did run down the stairs once and I had to chase it and had to keep a better eye on it. The police left around 4am and nothing had happened. My mother proceeded to try and argue with my family even more after they had left, but at this point we were all tired as **** and we ignored her.

So, I ended up staying up until 6am and I got about 2, maybe 3 hours of sleep

it's fine...my brain has adapted to stay awake until 4 am anyways so that I don't get woke up by screaming...im just a little more tired than usual, that's all
