Alexander hugged his deer furs tighter around him, and glanced over at the others. Lloyd was making more arrows, and Jackson was tending to the fire. Emily was hanging upside down in a tree. “Aight, so I guess since Jackson is the oldest that makes him in charge.” Lloyd huffed. “And he’s been here the longest,” Emily added. “Fine, sure. Because I’m definitely not the only person here who wasn’t told what we’re doing.” Jackson sighed. “We’re doin’ patrol, Jackson. We have to be sure nobody’s comin in here with nets and takin’ the wolves,” Lloyd replied, as he put some heads on an arrow. “Okay.” He nodded. Alexander looked over at Emily. Her long, white, silk-like hair looked almost like a sheet because of how well brushed it always was, surprising due to all the wind and storms here until you knew her better. He’s been here since he was born.” Emily scoffed and disappeared in a flurry of snowflakes, before reappearing next to Alexander with a snowball and whispering, “Should I?” “Heck yeah,” Alexander replied, trying not to smile. She grinned and threw it at a tree. “..Emily, What was the point of-“ Lloyd started, before snow fell down from the branches of the trees and covered him and the fire, extinguishing it. Jackson, Alexander and Emily all laughed. The four of them

eventually head out to check the forest- Emily riding her canine-they weren’t sure what she was and Emily wouldn’t tell-, Silver, and the rest of them on their own wolves. Alexander of course got the youngest, but he didn’t mind. He kind of got along with Hawk. It was a long story. Eventually, Emily and Jackson, who were leading them, both stopped. “..Hunters. Tropical hunters.” Emily stated. “From the jungle-?” Lloyd started. He then got cut off by a few golden tipped arrows hitting the ground near them. “Heck—“ “Guys, come on, we have to go tell the elder spirits! Maybe they can do something!” Jackson ordered, before he and his wolf bounced off. The others followed him, intending to stay alive and not with golden arrows anywhere near them. e
