LinkI trudged up the stairs to my bedroom, barely being able to support my weight. I held onto the banister as I dragged myself along. I wasnt allowed to sleep on the couch, which sucked because it was more comfortable down there. Every few minutes, I would doze off mid-step and trip, causing me to panic and fall. I finally got to my room and flopped down on my bed. It sqeaked loudly and and I groaned. All of a sudden, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It was a shadow. I blinked, hoping to not see it, and it was gone. I shuddered a bit, then thought it was because of being overtired. Then I saw it again, except it was further into my peripheral vision. It was in my closet, and it was staring at me. Its bloodshot eyes drilled a hole into my eyes as we stared at each other. I blinked and it was gone.

LinkI started getting worried and read a book to get my mind off it. I read for a solid 30 minutes, then I looked up and saw the shadow girl staring at me through my window. Her robe was spotted with blood, and blood dripped from her eyes. Her skin was as dark as midnight, but her eyes stood out like a green flower in a crowd of yellow and blue. "It's all just your imagination," I told myself as I stared at her, "The shadow girl isn't real.. It can't hurt me.." I blinked and she was gone. I got really worried so I texted my mom.
"Hey mom.. I'm seeing a shadow figure all over my room.." I typed, my hands clammy. A few minutes later,she texted back.
"You're probably just overtired. Maybe you should go to sleep instead of looking around your room for a damn shadow"
I got mad and tossed my phone into a basket of pillows. I wrapped a blanket around mysrlf and tried to sleep.

LinkAbout an hour later, I woke up to something breathing on me. I stared up at the figure in horror as its eyes stared at me, as if I had don't something to trigger it. I cried as it stared at me. My mom heard me and she came up to my room.
" M-mom, help! T-the shadow is gonna get me.."
My mom looked at me in disbelief. "There's nothing there.."
I screamed as it got closer. I could see every red streak in its eyes, but then everything went black...
Then I woke up in a hospital bed.
