LinkIt's about the acceleration of the motion, the eye doesn't instantly close at its max speed, it take time to go faster. The first example's motion looks more natural. From frame to frame of this https://ibb.co/wYrdc3C: 0% of it's max speed -> 25% speed -> 100% speed -> 75% speed -> 25% speed.
The way I used to animate blinks was so bad it was kind of similar to the one on the right but I never did copy-paste to return it to the original position so the eyes always ended up way different shapes than they started
