“Well, there’s a system of “purity” here, angels with,, ahem,, ‘defects’ for example, biologically, i would technically not be classified as male by human standards, but i am not female either, but seeing as its not entirely possible to determine that- and angels have this,, strange obsession with cleanliness and seeming more human then the gods- i was sent to work for a demon lord, the demon lords are treated virtually like royalty, in hell they’re more despised then anything due to the fact they interact freely with angels, gods, and other beings, but the same thing with angels happens to demons, demons who are physically pure and easier to keep a grip on get sent up to work for the Arch angels, which both demon masters and angel masters have their own flaws, its a whole thing, its a purity system, thats about it, when a new angel comes to existance, usually made by a god or a human soul if they’re lucky, they’re dipped in a pond of very cold water, if the water reacts a specific way they’re either(1/?)

“Sent off to work for a demon, or sent off to work for a god, usually though the water has no reaction and they just become messengers and caretakers. Demons on the other hand have to go through a specific process, which, not being one is incredibly difficult to describe, but my Lord Abdonis described it as,, well, similar to your species, it’d be like a DNA test, see who you used to be, recheck your actions, and check for,, uh,, death wounds, if a demon-or angel- has ‘death wounds’ they’re considered impure and are usually sent back as ghosts, but they get dubbed ‘guardians.’ The higher up the ladder you get to being closer to the gods, the less human you appear, normal angels have wings, and the highest ranking angels are massive bird like creatures, similar to your ‘biblical angels’ but less,,, all seeing eye-y,, Demons get more,, snake like, or even bat like, usually on a more predatory scale, and with much more diverse animal options,, ah. I’m taking up a lot of time. That’s about it.”

“Mhm. It used to be much more chaotic, but with this system there a lot less of,, ‘demons vs angels! We hate eachother’ propeganda. Since the only real difference in treatment from the gods is where you live. And my boss? Well, me and my Lord Abdonis are,, close. I’d say. Very close in fact, if it wasn’t for the sheer difference of power and the fact it’d probably be heavily frowned upon- but not illegal!!- we’d probably be openly together, though sometimes his requests get a little strange, im not talking *that* strange no worries, more like,, get him little items from the mortal realm, which is the best part of working for a lord, you can go wherever you please as long as your lord commands it. You could visit the gods, you could travel the multiverse, seeing the sights is beautiful.”
