ok their universe was extremely similar to the original. slight differences were there of course, both physical attributes and emotional attitudes were altered- yet it was extremely similar to the original UNDERTALE. it had been a sucessful pacifist run. the barrier was broken, monsters were getting ready to move up, everything was in order. all that was left was to SAVE. so frisk went to the save file. before they could, chara stopped them. they both remember the resets, and chara eventually convinced them, somehow, to kill them all. And so Frisk reset. Their sanity was breaking, piece by piece, as they killed monster after monster. after going out of their way to kill EVERY monster but sans, they met him in the judgement hall. they had their reasons. sans knew all too well of the resets. There was only one way to fix it. they tried to fight him. But he refused. Again and again, he offered mercy. Frisk had no choice. They broke apart their soul.

They gave sans determination- along with a strong urge and will to fight- and it worked all too well. Sans couldnt stop attacking. This incapability of going without an attack EVERY second caused him not to think- he drove an attack right through his own skull. The task was done. Every monster was dead. However, without the balance of the monster SOULs’ existence, they fell into the void with no forseeable chance of escape. every broken soul was there, being altered and changed and corrupted constantly. all the while, frisk saw no mercy. They were tortured by Chara. And everyone forgot about their one hope. Gaster. He worked for years fining a way to get them all out- and after almost four of those long, painful years in a void of pure nothingness, he succeeded. After activating this plan, there was enough power generated to release then back to the UNDERGROUND. And every one of them remembered. But none were the same.

Papyrus was now so focused on keeping what they had, and not losing it again, that he almost never talked to anyone- the majority of his time was spent training. Frisk lost their will to do anything. They soon became addicted to drinking and were almost never sober. Sans secluded himself in the illusion of fault- trying to keep a smile on his face nonetheless. And everyone was isolated- yet filled with fake happiness.
