well i mean people put on makeup regularly as a way to tell themselves their pretty. i dont think someone should try that hard i wouldnt find it cute or romantic to put on a different face just to impress others. that basically like being a clown. but i doubt it was a direct insult. they probably disagree with the subject of makeup.
