if you don't know who these people are, let me familiarize you with them. Kalief Browder was 16 when he was wrongfully accused of stealing a backpack and its contents (he was stopped and frisked, which is illegal now but it's where policemen have the authority to stop anyone without reason and it was shut down because it was terribly racist) and was taken into questioning. He was found guilty and spent 3 years on Rikers' Island, which is considered one of the most dangerous prisons in the world. 2 of those years were spent in solitary confinement. When he got out, he was awfully messed up and killed himself in his mom's house. Willie Francis. He was wrongfully accused of murder when all or the evidence in fact links to the deputy. Francis was sentenced to death by electric chair. He didn't die, because the two people who had crafted the electric chair had been drunk whilst making it. Francis got a lawyer and he plead not guilty, but the judge still found him guilty. He had another chance, but refused to

-take it, saying he didn't want to "go through the torture any longer", and that he was "ready to die". He was seventeen. He was sent back to the electric chair and when asked for any last words, he said "nothing at all." He was dead five minutes later. When he was attempted to be executed the first time, Francis said he heard the policeman inside of the room say "i'll get you next week, even if it's with a rock!" to Francis.
