LinkName: Komori
Link: https://toyhou.se/13334839.k-moristrike
Personality: Since an event, she is unpredictable. One moment, she almost seems emotionless, looking empty with blank, tired amber eyes and gazing down at the cell floor. The next, a part of her fights to survive in this harsh environment, yet sometimes suddenly bursting into manic laughter. She struggles identifying herself personality wise, hence the change of behaviors.
Powers: Komori is able to fly with bat wings, and her abilities increase during the night (or places with little light). She is also able to let out an ear-piercing screech and "merge" with shadows.
Weakness: Her body sometimes reacts negatively to these powers, from coughing out blood to a part of the skin opening up suddenly (becomes more prone to tearing).

Komori was awoken by the distressed yowls coming from a cell adjacent to hers, amber eyes slowly opening. At first was it just light that blinded her temporarily, and for a moment did she think she was dead. Starclan..? No... They wouldn't take her. What she didn't know was that she was way, WAY far from those territories, far from when...
But when the tabby adjusted, her vision cleared. This didn't seem like any form of afterlife. |*I'm... Alive..?*|
Komori didn't understand how she was alive, and how she's... Here. Events prior to her passing out replayed in her mind, as she remembered her presumed last words, the cold rush of water, and the rumbling of rocks. She should be dead... Why hasn't her downfall led her to a demise?
The brown and black feline attempted to get up, though she left out a small hiss due to pain from her back. Looking behind her shoulder, shock flickered in her eyes. Are those... Wings? |*What's going on- I don't understand.*| She seemed to be struggling with the situation at hand- or paw, as her eyes shifted left to right.
The tabby’s amber eyes shifted over to the one who had spoken, still feeling a little out of touch with things. At her words, Kōmori remained silent. That’s why she has those wings then... She wasn’t sure what to feel of this. After all, back there, in those territories, it was her goal to kill the last of her kin, including herself... And she failed. She failed because she’s still here.
However, she spoke, tone empty, neither upset nor delighted. “I see.” |*I’m supposed to be dead... They told me- I was meant to-*| This is messing with her mind, the poor stability and environment not helping much.
Suddenly, a mixed emotions flashed in her amber orbs, and she threw herself at the bars. It rattled, sounds echoing throughout, but of course they didn’t break, and she soon stopped. Kōmori didn’t intend for it to break... It was her way of releasing the feelings and thoughts clawing at her from within.
-Poisonspots snorted and placed her paw down ~That's the same way I responded my first day~ She Thought dully, remembering the unimaginable fear she felt during her very first test. A blurry image of a grayish blue she-cat popped up in her mind. She shook the thought away as she heard the door open and a Scientists wearing a white lab coat walked in with a tray of meat-
Komori got up and glanced at the other when she spoke again, and her amber eyes traveled down to the tray. At the sight did she realize how hungry she was, but the tabby didn't mention it. While her body wanted food to survive, her mind differed, as she went to a corner of her cell. "I thought the cave flood would kill me... Guess these... Humans had other things in mind." It was spoken in a low murmur. Perhaps it was fate wanting her to suffer, unsatisfied with her actions. At least, that's what her poor mentality revolved with in the start- cruel fate.
|*"You failed... You failed us.. Do you think we'd leave you in peace? Everything is your fault."*| A voice came from somewhere- behind, was it- and she whirled around to suddenly speak. "Shut up," she mewed, a little louder. However, it was just her mind playing tricks on her, and she aggravated someone who was in the cell next to hers.
"Don't tell me to shut up!" They had hissed, and the tabby fell silent. |*Not to you...*|
-Poisonspots flicked her ears at the She-cats sudden outburst. She yawned and focused her attention on the food given to her, a large slice of meat, each animal was given the Same type of meat for certain reasons. She glanced at the Scientists as they went to the next cage, Komori's cage. She wondered what the she-cat would do, her eyes narrowed, she knew she was a forest cat by her mere scent alone and knew she wouldn't be used to the food-
The tabby glanced up to see who had approached the feline, the flame that once sparked in her amber eyes quickly diminishing to that of a blank gaze. She's going to have to disregard her brain's cruel pranks, despite it getting worse again. She scented the air, catching onto the meat smell, and her tufted ears flattened. The tabby was skeptical of this, doubtful it's actually meat... Is something put in it that makes it smell so foul? Either way, Komori doesn't want to take whatever it is.
Kōmori, after rejecting the meat, glanced at the others who did eat the food provided, amber gaze lingering on Poisonspots’ form a little longer by a second. She then tried to get a glimpse of what’s up ahead. What does the lab even do with them, other than keep them in cages? If the people were to keep them all like this, wouldn’t there be overcrowding?
The amber eyed feline gazed at the other again, and she was quiet at first. Deep down, it doesn’t matter whether she knows or not. She’s still damned to meet her fall at some point, if not now or back then. However, there was another part of her that’s curious about what’s going on. The part that’s surprised about the other talking to her, but not hating it. Someone that’s not speaking with bitterness or malice. “It’s be informative knowing, so yes,” she answered. Not entirely because she wanted to know, but to test how long this conversation would go. Probably not long, but it was something...
-She gave a tiny nodded and lifted her head towards the door." As you know this is where the animals, or test subjects are kept. That door is the exit but know ones been able to get past that point. The scientist do all type of crazy tests, I dont know why they do it." She flattened her ears, her eyes were Sad. "This is my 2nd year here. Most of the others that have been here went through that door for something called the 'final test' and never came back out. It happens after a creatures lives here for 5 years. Some of them cant handle the pressure and choke themselves through the bars" she murmured the last part and shivered. " The meat they give us is something called M-17Z from what I've heard. It has no taste but it fills us up. Sometimes they'll let us into the yard to see how we react with the others. Not too many react well. That's all for now" she said, her tail curled over her paws as she watched the door with mixed emotions
Kōmori listened as the other spoke and followed Poisonspots’ gaze to the door, ears slightly perked as a sign she’s paying attention. As the brown feline heard of tests conducted on the animals, there was a faint change in tone that caused her to look back at the spotted feline(?). She seemed upset, judging by her yellow gaze. The conditions must be terrible, testing every subjects’ health in both physical and mental sense. Kōmori experienced the pressure before, though not lifelong. Fighting to survive- if not quite live. A faint emotion stirred within the tabby, as their amber eyes settled on her cell floor. “Must be so difficult living in these conditions,” she murmured, starting to sound sympathetic. Not faked, despite her faking her expressions countless times in lives prior to bars. Talking like this, to a real cat- not her imagination- What was that feeling..? “It’d be a miracle for one to live, not just survive.” Kōmori then added, “What was your life before this one..?”
Komori gave a subtle frown at the other's words. "Oh..." She murmured and it was followed by silence, apart from arguments from cells further from theirs. "I hope it was better than mine, then, because I still have most memories intact." Unlike one of her cousins, who was a forgetful one. They were starting to feel slightly nostalgic about that, but the tabby tried to shake it off. "It was pretty hectic, and here I am, thrown into literal hell." She attempted to chuckle at that, but it was fake... Not a really delighted one, as the brown and black cat hasn't felt happiness in a long time.
The amber-eyes feline returned to a neutral frown, looking through the bars. “I doubt I can. Otherwise, many of us wouldn’t be here,” she mewed. Silence then followed, as Kōmori wasn’t sure what to say now. But then, there was a moment’s glimpse of movement outside, someone dragging along an unwilling animal with some type of leash- well, the function must be similar to that of one. “Will they make us fight each other?” She queried.
She somewhat wasn't surprised at seeing the other nod for a "yes," though it wasn't pleasant knowing. A shame not everyone can live to see the next day. Guess there's a chance Komori will have to fight another who's behind bars... She may have to strategize and come up with something, as the tabby doubted Poisonspots would want to share any tips with her. The feline doesn't know all of her powers, apart from having wings. But then again, does Komori even want to fight her life? The tabby had no aim, no direction now... Her cousins aren't here, and some things are still unclear. No one has liked her for what she did... Who would miss her anyways..? At those thoughts did her amber eyes dim, as she gazed down. "Oh, I see," she mewed. "So we're stuck here for the 3 hours then."
Briefly did they look up to make eye contact with the speaker, and a tufted ear twitched. Was that sympathy in her gaze..? For a moment was she skeptical, but it didn't matter. |*She doesn't know what I've done...*| What fate forced her to do. However, the gentle tone seemed to slightly calm her down, as the imaginary silhouettes weren't as much of a concern at the moment. Maybe because the talk distracted Komori from *them.* "Perhaps," she mewed. "I'll be lucky if so." After some moments, she questioned, "What are your powers?"
-She flicked her tail and purred, seeming happy to talk about them. "My main source of power is my poison" she said. She lifted a paw and unsheathed a single claw, the tip covered in a blue liquid. "I can produce poison from me claws, teeth, and even spikes and only I have the antidote" she said. Then her ears flattened "Buts its not all that good" she mewed Solemnly
Kōmori was a little confused at the first string of words. |*Poison her blood?*| What would happen? Would it kill her? She wasn’t sure, but it didn’t sound fortunate for the other feline. “I see,” she murmured. “I’m assuming that would make you refrain from making friendships or bonds with others out of the fear you’ll do something to them.”
Lmfao I’m sorry for misunderstanding- like the poison gets into her blood or smth like that?? Fhwjciwncjs at least I replied to it in a thought XD)
That earned a small understanding nod from Kōmori. She figured. However, it didn’t scare her, that drawback of a power. “Well,” she mewed, “That probably won’t stop me from talking to you. Depending on if I’m in the proper mental state, at least.” Her last words were spoken in a murmur. Sometimes she sees things and would talk to *them*, so that’s why. An example of it was her recent burst of anger of telling an imaginary thing to shut up. “I don’t have much to lose anyways... So I might as well exchange some words while waiting for what’s planned out for me.” Doubt it’d be anything good for her, perhaps punishments well deserved for her actions and existence. “So I’m still here if you want to talk to someone.”
Komori saw the gratitude flickering in the other's yellow orbs. The tabby was quiet for some moments, also catching that slight purr. Poisonspots doesn't seem to hate the dark-colored feline... But she should. However, pushing it aside, a slight smile formed on her face. "That's what some say about me," she said. "Honestly, I think we're all different in a way here. But let's consider each other equals, as this is a shared struggle." She couldn't quite hope for a way out, but it was best to have some company here... If not keeping touch with another would she have probably fallen back down to insanity... Perhaps get herself killed. At that thought, her amber eyes traveled to the bars for a moment, before glancing back at Poisonspots. "If you're fine with that, at least," she mewed.
The brown and black feline's tufted ears subconsciously perked up at the possibility of being friends. "I don't see anything wrong with that," Komori mewed. It is technically just the two of them here, in a place far from the lake territories. There's no way she can return, but does she really want to? Yes and no... "Also," she added, "I don't think I've gotten your name yet. Do you mind telling me?"
"Poisonspots is a nice name," Komori mewed. It suits the other's powers. When the question was returned towards the tabby, she answered, "Kōmoristrike." It was moments after until she realized she messed up, and the brown feline quickly added, "Kōmori, actually. I go by that now, my bad. Kōmoristrike was my former name."
(If we do continue this further how should it go: Evening meal > Fight / Yard/Outside > Meal > fight, etc.- unless if we're not continuing that far xD)
gotcha! lel ill be ready for that xd)
The tabby nodded in confirmation when the other had repeated her name, a small indication Poisonspots said it correctly. "Thank you, your name suits you as well," Komori mewed. "My mother told me a few times at kithood my name meant bat in another language... So it fits me appearance wise." A cat with bat-like markings... It's obvious where it came from.
