The party was in full swing, but Olivia was not having fun. On the contrary, the shouting, loud music, and tightly packed room had drove her to where she was now, having a meltdown, locked in the bathroom. She didn't want to stay in there, but the idea of leaving made her breathing quicken, and her hands clench tighter over her ears. She could hear the noise through the door, and felt like the small room was closing in on her.

The sharp knock at the door might as well have been a death sentence to Olivia. She couldn't keep them waiting, but the crowd, the wave of sound and sweaty bodies was too much. She sat frozen on the floor, panic swelling in her chest.

Olivia felt trapped. She shook her head, part of her screaming to just get up and leave, but being over ridden by the cascade of stress and overstimulation. She pressed her hands tight over her ears, as the noise from outside grew louder.

Olivia flinched at the sudden touch, starteled. But Charolettes hug was gentle, and her soft sweater felt nice against Olivia's skin. Olivia mangaed to get get a few words out. "Too loud....too many people..I don't-I can't.."

"I-I..want..leave. I just can't, can't be here." She struggled with the words, trying to explain what she wanted, but falling short.

Olivia nodded, biting her lip as they made their way outside. Once they were out, Olivia took a deep breath, and her head started to clear. After a minuite, she turned to the girl who had saved her. "Sorry about...that. I don't know why I agreed to come. I shouldn't have let my friends convince me. Thanks for not, you know, like laughing or getting weirded out. The thing is...um.."
