"I swear to the vultures..." An injured red feline staggered through the forest, their crimson blood more saturated in contrast to their pelt as it trickled down from a hing leg. Sureno... May have accidentally dug his way into an unstable cave, triggering a sudden rock fall. She looked around and scented the air, wondering if there was someone nearby who can help them. |*If only I learned about herbs from the healers...*|
They were able to scent the feline(?) (correct me if I'm wrong) before she had approached them. After all, when you're fully alert, you're almost aware of everything around you. However, she jolted in surprise still, as he felt so vulnerable. He studied the feline before him with muted purple eyes, his guard up. "Who are you?" Sureno questioned, lukewarm tone used.

Reply to zSyrup!)
The striped feline observed the other's movements, and their ears twitched as they listened to them introduce themself. Her friendly tone aligned with her bright gaze, causing him to slightly relax in posture. "Sun... An easy name to remember," She mewed. "And it's Bo-" They cut themself off. "I mean Sureno. I was about to say a name that's no longer mine." After all, he doesn't affiliate with the Scavengers anymore. "Suppose you know where I can receive medicinal help..? Unless if you can help yourself." As much as they hated to admit it, they needed assistance from another.
Sureno felt a small sense of relief, know she'll be able to get this leg healed. Well, possibly, as they were informed of how this friend is, according to Sun, now fond of strangers. "Understandable," she mewed. "I'll find a way to repay both of you." They then added, "So, I'm assuming I must follow you there?"
The red feline followed the other, ears twitching occasionally as they kept note of the slightest sounds around them. However, the gush of wind seized his attention, and their chains swayed back, the bell on their collar crying out in chimes. "Does she have weather powers?" She mewed over the roaring of the wind, keeping low to the ground so she doesn't get blown away. He winced a little when doing so caused his hind paw to touch the forest floor.
Sureno continued to follow in limping steps, going further in the tunnel. As one whose powers include some earth related, this served a feeling of comfort for her. She glanced up to see who this "Valorie" is, desaturated purple eyes gazing up ahead. To be polite, she gave a dip of her head in greeting. Valorie... The name sounded pleasant on their tongue, despite it being a little more complex compared to Sun's.
Although the hostility was partially expected, they weren't ready for the enraged roaring of the wind to get even stronger. Getting even lower to the ground and ignoring the sensation of pain from his hind leg, he tried not to get blown away, one eye shut due to both the pain and wind. "I do not wish to hurt anybody!" She called out, hoping it could be heard. After all, not like she could do so in this condition.
Sureno let out a small exhale through parted jaws when the wind eased, now a tamed beast for the moment. They swore they'd be blown away if he had to hold on for a longer time span. He flashed an appreciative glance towards Sun, before meeting eye contact with Valorie. "A rockfall almost killed me," they explained. "I just need to be well enough to walk, and I'll be out of you two's pelts."
The striped feline stood up, and they followed Valorie as told. He eventually got to the river as well, slowing to a stop. Valorie had the right to be cautious back then... It's not easy trusting those one doesn't know. Sureno found out the risk and consequences of trusting someone from experience... A demise of the Scavengers she once knew.
It did hurt, but not much when Valorie had placed down the herb, so he didn't jerk back or move in response. Sureno then watched as the other lowered her paw into the water, a little confused for a mere moment. It must be her trying to use her powers. With that, Sureno silently watched, not wanting to disturb the other.
Sureno watched with awe as her powers did the work, purple eyes slightly wide. They wanted to move to test if they can walk now, but she chose not to do that yet, until Valorie can confirm he can. Worst thing is it falling off, or do something that would lead to the other having to start over. "...Thank you," they still said, feeling like he owed her.
The striped feline slowly got up after hearing it's okay for him to walk, and he took some careful steps forward. It hurts a little, but it's bearable, as long as not too much pressure was but on their hind leg. She gave a little nod of understanding. "Is there a way I can pay you back?" She questioned, turning around to face the other.
-Valorie shook her head "Its fine, I enjoy helping others as long as they haven't killed anyone for no reason" she mewed, her ears flicking. She sat up and turned to leave but stopped. "Oh, and you should be more thoughtful about who leads you, Sureno." She mewed, saying his name with a slight hit on venom. She sighed "I really dislike scavengers" she murmured, just loud enough for him to hear. Then padded away.
Sureno was about to say something in agreement to Valorie's first string of words, only to shut his mouth at what she said next. Their ears flattened. She wasn't a part of them... Not anymore, at least. But the Scavengers weren't always cold-hearted and unpredictable cats who slaughtered others for fun and gain. They used to be more kind, only stealing from the bad, deceased or alive, giving to others. They wouldn't start so many useless fights. Their reputation changed because of... She said nothing for some moments, as she was already on her way. "Should've been," they murmured. "Perhaps you would've liked them more before the incident..." With that, she parted. Going over to say goodbye to Sun, they mewed, "Thank you for your help too, but it's best I go. My birth-group isn't well liked at the moment, and *she* is most likely still after me." By the pronoun "she," they weren't referring to either of the two, but someone else wants them alive and by her side.
"Perhaps," he mewed, actually looking as if he'd consider. Well, if they did meet, hopefully not due to similar conditions, as he'll have to be careful next time, and not end up in another rockfall. "Maybe when things are safer... For now, guess we'll have to part." After some moments, Sureno then said, "Also, steer clear of a gray cat with green eyes... Big scar on right eye. Will try to mess with your head." Just a warning if... She stops by. "Anyways, I should go now. Best of wishes to you and Valorie."
Sureno cracked a slight smile, and with a small dip of his head, he then left, limping a little. With time, though, they will recover. These cats were helpful and nice, but not everyone will be like that. |*Things could've ended horribly, especially when I already have a bad reputation because of the Scavengers.*| One day, she'll be strong enough to face Shine and the horrible excuse of a leader...
(lol now idk what to do)
