idk this shit just makes me sad and kinda blackpilled. i hope there are people out there working on these overlooked communities and studying them before they disappear because i just dont have a ton of hope for how shits going. its so hard to get anyone to give a shit about one member of an overcomplicated, common genus like solidago. its not even necessarily about just solidago randii but also about all high elevation outcrop barrens and shale barrens and cliff communities and spray cliffs etc etc etc. all the weird shit that isnt as "lush" or desirable or economically important therefore its not gonna get studied as much. and ive just completely given up on getting normies to care because they dont even understand ecology existing beyond high school bio (its not a complicated thing to understand, but it does require going in the woods and paying attention to something other than a view or a waterfall. i know, crazy)

and im going to school to hopefully be able to work in shit like this one day but its still more of a slog cause its like. aha, monsanto class time. plant path class that is likely going to be all rose aids n shit and to get the interesting path you have to take forestry path. for the forestry majors
