LinkYou heard barking and yelping coming from the forest. It was somewhere around 2 am, and not many dogs were out at that time, obviously.
So, you went to investigate.
About 10 minutes into the forest, you saw a puddle of blood, and silvery flower petals, glowing from the moonlight.
There seemed to be a trail of said blood, headed deeper to the forest.
(id prefer if you use your Oc and not yourself,,(
Shade: *he started following the blood*
(Follow the y̶e̶l̶l̶o̶w̶ ̶b̶r̶i̶c̶k̶ ̶r̶o̶a̶d̶ ominous trail of blood and flowers-)
It lead to a clearing.
A hellhound, ugly burn scars on one side of its face(I would laugh so hard if that reminded him of Finlay-), lay chewing on something. The blood was around it’s mouth and on its front paws.
Something under a nearby tree moved ever so slightly, and it jerked it’s head in that direction.
The hound jerked its head back in Shade’s direction and snarled, dropping what it’d been chewing on. It was a tree branch, splintered and broken easily where it’d chewed on it.
( *scream-laughing into a pillow-*)
It stood up, about 10 and a half feet tall, staring down at him.
It tilted its head, trying to figure out what shade was, before pouncing-
He snarled, swatting at him.
You could see the figure under the tree, now-
A body.
Angry hellhound boi-
The person didn’t seem that old, maybe 14 at the very oldest, but they weren’t dead. They had long dark hair, we’re scrawny and deathly pale, but you couldn’t see their face. They’d been bitten pretty bad. They had a pulse and were breathing.
(they needed him alive for a bit ovo)
( meanwhile, ravens still partially conscious but not enough to open his eyes or do anything, and he’s just thinking to himself, ‘oh my god I’ve never wanted to be killed quicker more than I do now please just end my suffering-‘ )
The canine still seemed content at swatting Shade.
Shade: *he made a type of bubble-shield thing around himself and the body*
(Shade’s magic powers: bubbles.)
(Truly terrifying.)
Shade: “..” *he made another separate bubble thing around Raven*
(Raven n o - )
Shade: *he waved at the hellhound* “Bye, sugar cube!” *he just started walking away, floating the Raven-bubble along with him-g

The hellhound, Azrael, gave up and walked off. What now, follow them and repeat this entire process? He had better things to do.
And was gonna be in a lot of trouble for not having Raven with him-

The bite was pretty deep, teeth marks on both his arm and torso.

Shade: *he started gently trying to clean the bites*
(Shade is not good with dying people, unless he’s the one causing them to die-)
Shade: “..” *why did I help.*
( it’s actually canon that he ends up at navarii’s house s o m e h o w
i just haven’t decided how and I like doing wwyds to see how other people handle it-)

Shade: “... no clue if you can hear me or not but if you can and you wake up and you need anything, I’m upstairs.” *bye bye-*

Shade: *putting on another dress-*

“..” He hadn’t woken up yet. The small bit of consciousness he had was panicking. He didn’t want to have another little coma again qwq

(Shade spent a long time finding a red sofa with little black hearts on it.
And he doesn’t even know raven.
So sofa is more important.)
Shade: *kitchen*

He’s usually sick just doesn’t do anything about it because it’s usually not that bad but uh
Azrael probably tracked him down better because he smelled sick—

Raven opened his eyes a bit. Everything was dark and fuzzy, which scared him a little.
He also couldn’t tell where he was, and every inch of his body ached. He didn’t quite remember what had happened.
Shade: “..” *he went back in with a glass of water* “Oh, Hi!”
(Clever-)
“!” He didn’t recognize that voice. He sat up, but it hurt. A lot.
“.. Who-“

What can ya say, he’s raven-)
“..” His left arm and torso felt like they’d been stabbed with hot iron rods. Not a good feeling. He still couldn’t remember what happened. Everything was a blur..

“..” He took a sip and flinched. His throat felt almost as bad as his arm, since he hadn’t gotten water in a while.
(He’s been nice more than once >:0
Like, he’s been nice two times, maybe three-)
Shade: “I’m sorry.. when was the last time you drank something..?”
“..i can’t remember much..” He mumbled. ( he got hit on the head pretty hard-)

Raven woke up.
Yep. Everything still hurt. And his headache felt even worse, hooray. Whether it was from hitting his head or his fever, he couldn’t tell.
Oh. Yeah. He remembered hitting his head now.. not much else. Just banging his head on a rock.
Shade: *he came back inside, holding a white bunny* “Hi. You feel any better today..?”
Shade: “I’d assume that’s a no..” *pet bunny* “.. do you want anything?”
“..” He shook his head. He wasn’t motivated enough to do anything. Even if he were, he doubted he’d have the strength.
Shade: “You’re going to have to eat something soon.” *he said it in an unusually soft voice, not with his usual high levels of sarcasm and teasing*
Shade: *he took the bunny outside, then made him a glass of water and brought it to Raven*
“..” He sat up, struggling a little, and took it. “.. thank you..”
Shade: *he smiled* “No problem. Tell me if you need anything else, okay?”
Shade: “Hey, do you think you’ll be able to eat something?” *from kitchen-*
“..” He didn’t answer. He knew shouting would probably feel like a stab to the throat.
He didn’t bother moving his hair out of his eyes. He looked like he’d just escaped a coffin at a morgue and honestly didn’t care at this point.
He coughed again. It was a wonder he wasn’t coughing up blood. (That’s not foreshadowing anything I swear-)

“..” He still didn’t want to talk to him.
(Shade what happened-)
Shade: “.. hey uh, I’m a stranger and I understand that... so is there anyone you know around here? I could take you to them if you’d like..”
“..” He shrugged. His memory still didn’t want to cooperate. “I told you, I don’t remember much..”
Shade: *he gave up trying to be nice and went back into the kitchen-*
He quietly mumbled to himself. Everything still hurt. He didn’t want to cry in front of Shade. Then he’d feel weak.
“...” He lay back down and of course tears started slipping down his cheeks.
Shade: *he had no idea what to do. He didn’t really understand why he’d tried to ‘help’*
He vaguely remembered Cronan. He thought it’d be dumb if he randomly said, ‘.. oh yeah I have a cat-‘, though, so he stayed quiet.
“...” He would normally talk to someone who saved him, but he had no idea how to start a conversation, and his throat hurt.

Shade: *he came back* “Do you like bunnies?” (‘If not, get out-‘)
Shade: “I think you heard. I uh... I’m not good at keeping people happy or anything, but I wouldn’t think you’d want to be alone. If you do that’s fine-“
“..” Raven quietly moved a strand of dark hair out of his face. His eyes were bright purple, which made a lot of social interactions pretty awkward because a lot of times if he had to go run an errand for Devin people would just,, stare at him-

Shade: “Angel will keep you company.” *he went to go get her-*
“..” He wasn’t so sure he wanted a rabbit with him, since most animals hated him(unless they were zombies, zombie animals loved him-), but he didn’t have a choice.

His fever had gone down a bit since yesterday, but his injuries were still pretty bad.
Shade: “... do you think you could eat the toast? I cut off the crusts and it’s not too crunchy.. I put butter on it.”
Shade: “If you can’t eat it that’s fine.”
(Little do we know, Shade’s poisoned the water and has done the same to the toast-)
