Anyways! As young apprentices, and even as warriors, Goldenpelt and Teakfur had good chemistry. Goldenpelt, being a sassy, strong lady, attracted the attention of Teakfur, a strong, confident young guy. Eventually, they started going hunting alone together, which is the equivalent of a date in their world. Soon enough, they fell in love and had two pups. Before long, they were both crowned Beta's of Thunder Pack under the rule of Bluemoon and Pricklewing. Sadly... it all went south from there... Teakfur refused to care for his own pups, telling Goldenpelt his attention was only focused on taking care of the Pack as Beta. Angry, Goldenpelt and Teakfur lashed out at each other, saying things they never had to each other. Teakfur finds himself saying stuff like "I never even wanted you or the pups. You were just leverage to get higher in the ranks," Taken aback, Goldenpelt is at a loss of words, before turning away from Teakfur for the first and last time. Divided, they lead their Pack separate as ex-mates.
