the of the gel like a sheild to protect vital organs in the body! same as skin/bones. the gel is normally covered so Gellos dont accidentally break the seal on it, causing the gel + organs to die! there are two layers to gel the seal (think the seal on meat u get from the market) and the gel (think the gel in stressballs)

oh shiz i didnt see all of that, here; 1 : answered above 2 : they eat human foods, warzones can eat graphs of code as a treat, but will eat human foods if given the choice. Normally, they do not eat 3 : Vets only exist for tame currupts, as they act more like domesticated pets rather than humane Gellos 4 : Midwar gellos are very cyborg-like! so..yes 5 : you can see it pass through the gel if you look closely

The gel is thick, so the organs arent visable until you cut the gel :3 The gel is only fragile if puctured also they have very similar organs to humans! if you ever want to draw gello gore, just draw Candy Gore! thats the closest thing to them

also yes! there are fungal infections where it will control the gello, snake paracites, and just viruses like the one 504 has! Viruses and paracites can cause experiments to go wrong, causing desired mutations to multiply into something that most of the time barely even looks remotely close to a Gello paracites for normal gellos are similar, it makes them more vulnerble to being hurt and/or their gello graying.

hmgpoisjoi im still trying to answer that question myself, but what i have so far is; the bones and gel are basically their exoskeleton, the organs being hidden deep within those. the gel makes up their entire body, the stickiness of it holding the bones + organs in place! so really, they are made from gel and organic things :D
