Yea ik, I watched a video with footage from what happened, I wasn't able to finish, I watched a bit until he started saying I can't breathe and calling for his mom, I turned it off and cried...

Blm was a joke, obviously black lives do matter, but they way they protested was absolutly unnecessary.

Oh yea. Obviously violent protests aren't right and unnecessary and actually pretty bad, but the majority of the BLM protests are peaceful. Maybe you've only heard of the bad ones...
Anyway, I get what you're saying but I don't think that it was a joke, not even the violent protests, sure it might have been (very very very very) wrong of them to protest that way, but it's not really a joke.
Yeah true.. but the other thing is that people gotta realize that all this protesting isn't gonna change a thing in the country, things are most likely going to stay how they are currently
(Also George Floyd was a criminal with many arrests... people treat this dude like he was an angel.)
Yea I understand that, I sometimes think that too, but protesting is really important and it actually does help and it's something that I think people should continue to do. It's helped in the past and there's no reason it shouldn't help now, though I do believe that it's definitely doing a lot less than it used to which is really disappointing.
And yes George Floyd wasn't really a great person and definitely not an angel, so people shouldn't treat him like one. But he also didn't deserve to die. And it's not exactly that they think he was an angel, its that he was black and he was unjustly killed by the police. There are thousands of black person murders at the hands of the police and he was another one. Sorry I can't really put what I want to say into words, I'm trying to say that like... it's not exactly about him it's about the cause.
That doesn't really make sense either...

I get what you both are trying to say and I agree with both of you, yes it was wrong to kill him, yes he was pretty bad, and yes all that other stuff.
I hope that my younger sister will become what she wants to do and be; she wants to be a police officer and try to make the world a great place to live and help people get along.
I also want to become an art teacher as well as a math teacher <—(don’t hate please- ) and also an animator and help children find inspiration and creativity in themselves and not only joke around and play games.
Also, please notice that if you go outside sometimes and feel the cool breeze on your face you can feel how people are trying to help and gain inspiration and creativity and I hope that your soul is blessed with everything.

You really need more recognition. You giving out important issues and turning them in beautiful works of art is amazing! Yes, maybe he did some bad things but it wasn’t worth death. But , you are one of my inspos now.
Oh gosh the video was the worst thing I'd seen... I saw a video that had footage from tons of different people piecing together EXACTLY what had happened that day, they also had the phone calls from the police, it was so sad and horrible.

*Sigh* In agreement with ProMagma.. I also don't get why people say #BLM in general because though it is true, It should be that all lives matter??? I don't think everyone of you listens to politic shit everyday, But I do. And Police literally Kill people all the time,PLENTY of white people have been killed by police for nothing, So I don't see why this (1) Person in particular is SUCH a big deal causing huge issues??? Great art skills though!
Ok so like yes ALL Lives matter, but we're currently having a lot of problems and murders with black people. We are focusing on black people right now because the country has got too many damn problems for us to work on solving all of them at once. Like global warming and pollution and the hate towards the LGBT+ community (and of course the hate towards religion and other races as well). Nobody is saying that JUST black lives matter, black lives are just currently what we're worrying about right now.
Also it's not just him, he was just one of the most recent murders so that's why people are focusing on him.
(and thanks for complimenting my "art skills" even though they don't exactly exist, lol)
Sorry also that white people ARE killed a lot too, but its more black people just because people assume that they are suspicious because they are black. Like Trayvon Martin. He isn't an angel either, he was suspended from school for a week because of drug residue found in his bag, but he was chased and killed because he looked suspicious. He was walking around at night talking to his girlfriend on the phone when some neighborhood watch guy called the police because he looked suspicious. The guy confronted him and Trayvon fought back and was killed. And of course Kendrec McDade. He was going to a friends house when a backpack with someone's personal items was reported stolen, the police had arrived and saw him and thought he was one of the suspects because he was black so they went after him and he ran (because that's what you do when police start chasing you, you run, 'cause you're scared, even if you didn't do anything) and they SHOT HIM, and another police officer behind him shot him too...
...because they believed that he had shot the other police officer. He was completely innocent and at the wrong place at the wrong time and he payed for it with his life. So what i'm saying is that we are focusing on black murders because they were confronted because of their race.

They just don’t add the ‘too’ at the end. But yeah, there not just saying that only Black Lives Matter, they are saying that e matter too. So yes. All lives matter. But most people miss the true meaning of it. And there has been multiple black people that were angles that were treated badly for just their skin color. I’m biracial (black and white.) and seeing what is going on in the country is insane. Buy y’know, I’m just 14 year old, what do I know? :)

Addressing the BLM movement,,, I agree 100% - though, it wasn't necessarily handled right, it went a bit out of hand! Considering covid and stuff, but also by the fact when people say "ALL LIVES MATTER" they get literally attacked which to me - was unnecessary. If someone says their own opinion - they get bombarded, attacked, death threats and sooo much more!
I personally think the protests were blown wayyy out of proportion! Like what does destroying houses got to do with a controversial topic?
BLM do matter though! I agree completely!! I just believe it wasn't handled properly! Just my opinion though! 😅

3. Yes there are a few bad occasions where this movement went kinda crazy, well that's obviously an understatement, I mean like, if your house is burning down because of some protesters you're not going to suddenly be like "oh, look at this burning house, I guess this means that black lives do matter. I get it now!!" so yea it was really stupid and dangerous of people to do that. Even if they had good intentions.
