NFT is short for non-fungible token. It’s basically digital proof that you own a certain image (they can be anything digital but images are most common). People don’t like them for so many reasons but a few are
1. The blockchains used to create the tokens are usually bad for the environment
2. There are no verification systems in place, so it’s easy for others to steal art and sell it
3. You can only get them using crytocurrency and that market fluctuates crazily
4. They sell for insane amounts of money, so much that it’s a common theory that NFTs are being used as coverups for money laundering schemes
5. Most of them are just ugly and stupid
On one hand this is the first fanart I’ve gotten of my new persona and I’m incredibly touched, but on the other hand— are those buckteeth? 😭
