I’m gonna be spending valentines with my bestfriend is anyone else have plans for Valentine’s Day ( ik it’s dead hours rn I’ll respond later )

Also remember the kitten I fostered She’s doing great well I mean she got adopted a long time ago but I don’t remember if I updated or not Since we r talking abt cats

Don’t leave stray kittens outside or I will abduct them Not in a cute way Ppl who keep outside cats and don’t neuter them are annoying I got Pearl bc a couple next to my bestfriends house brought there cats and let them outside and the female keeps getting pregnant and having kittens Thas a problem If you have outside cats for whatever reason atleast neuter them

And if this was just a feral group of cats that would be one thing but these cats are friendly w humans That’s not good because they come to ppls homes and then people complain about cats, especially if they have chickens or other pets in there yard that are vulnerable And then ppl will take care of the cats themselves And there’s ALOTTT of dogs where I live there mainly pit bulls And even my bestfriends dog HATES cats It would be so much less trouble to just neuter, there’s already so many cats in shelters we don’t need them running around

It’s messed up bringing cats into a new neighborhood and letting them just do whatever and breed it’s irresponsible This is mainly targeted towards my bffs neighbors

If you have like a stray cat you found that likes you and you feed them I’m not mad at you, because you didn’t bring that cat or are responsible for that cat being born I don’t hate stray cats at all I hate the ppl who bring or abandon them Me and my friend are planning on taking one of the female cats that really like us

I would leave her but my bffs dad is talking about “getting rid of them” not in the friendly way from what imm assuming and bc there’s a literal dog that eats cats in the area I don’t know if i will keep her or not But I don’t want her around there

Idc if that couple named that cat and think the cats there’s the cat doesn’t have a collar and they never keep it inside or any of the other stray cats ( there’s like.. 7 stray cats rn they don’t need 7 stray cats )

If it was one or two stray cats I wouldn’t take them but 7 is so many I would rather take a female and lessen the odds of another female cat getting pregnant and breeding if I can help it

I’m not down w ppl who just take/swipe cats without knowing if the cat has a owner or not, even if they don’t have a collar bc in some situations the collar could have broken off or was a break away collar or the ppl r trying to get a collar You gotta understand the situation ( this is different for certain situations like the animal needs vet care or it’s an emergency )

Bc if you rlly want a cat that bad and there’s not cats at your shelter for whatever reason you can check out craigslist or Facebook and I guarantee there’s ppl on there who need to get rid of there animals for whatever reason There’s always been postings abt dogs and cats on there

I wish there was a program down here to capture and neuter strays for free but ofc there’s not

I’m a very relgious user of Craigslist as a wannebe pet foster parent

That reminds me I reached out to this woman on Craigslist bc she was giving away her hamster and she NEVER responded

That hamster either died or went to someone who probably didn’t know what they were doing RIP

My favorite thing is when he uses his tail to like stabilize himself it’s so cool Yk when you see rats on there two legs, it’s because they are using there back tail to give themselves more balance When you like hold a mouse you can sometimes feel there tail like curve around your hand or arm to get more balance idk I find it sick

Like there tails aren’t just for show they can move around themselves kind of like snakes DON’T pick up mice from there tails though, ik like scientists do it but like if your having pet mice it just freaks them out atleast for most mice It could also like hurt them if your not careful Scientists do it because they need to quickly do medical checks and pick them up without trying to handle them in there hands especially when there’s a group of mice and it can be hard to get one by itself I like yetis red eyes they remind me of rubies

I’m definitely more of a cat person then dog person I like that cats can be independent but still be loving and crave attention Dogs can sometimes be overwhelming in a way cats aren’t They are quieter and don’t need walks and to be worried about several hours of the day

Also the fact cats are more misunderstood and thought to be uncaring of humans because they are less expressive and therefore not loyal in the way a dog would be But I’ve seen cats who love there owners and run up to them even one time I saw a video of a woman who lost her cat in a storm and it ran up to her
