This is my first and at the moment, main D&D character, Z'nem. His strongest virtue is perseverance. He always seems hungry and sometimes makes jokes about it. He's a homebrew species of mine called Valgopsids, which are synapsids (mammal like reptiles) so despite his lizard like appearance hes actually warm blooded.

There's not enough lore on the cabal to be interesting, like at all. Vex, hive, and fallen have some badass lore, and the hive are downright terrifying lore wise, I mean, they kill hundreds of their children and use some sort of death magic to force themselves through evolution to become kings
Vex as interesting, because if they time travel they would've won already, wouldn't they? So its really intriguing because it makes you think about why they haven't conquered earth and everything that is

I think Cabal was put in there as an afterthought so that there was some sort of military-like enemy
From the little lore they have they seem like watered down Covenant
Farming it for resources I'd bet
Use what you can, then change the planet to what would fit you
Conquering worlds and taking the species of the planets into their empire, like the Covenant

I haven't played the storyline of D1 in like 4 years so
Just way scarier than normal zombies because these ones all have their own unique abilities, including teleporting, cloaking, or other things that'll **** you over
