So, um... I was doing homework and... I didn't finish enough for my mom to be satisfied, clearly, so she started shouting at me, then I started crying, and nowadays I've gained a habit to smile while I cry, then I started crying. She told me to then cry, then after a few minutes, I didn't stop crying yet, she said, just stop crying (basically bottle up your feelings) so I went in my room and basically told myself I was fine, repeatedly. Am I really fine? Is it normal for mothers to do this? I need answers... :<

it should not be normal for mothers to do that!! when we raise our voices it’s our emotions controlling us. maybe she just wants what’s best for you, but shouting is only going to put stress on you which doesn’t help your productivity at all. you may not be fine, but it isnt your fault as long as you’re tryin your best to do what’s good for you. that could even be taking a break from working if you’re feeling overwhelmed!
