daisy entered the library , and returned a book . they walked through the bookshelves, looking for plant books, they daisy on their head swaying from side to side .
wil was trying to study for biology, but kept getting distracted. eventually, they gave into temptation and pranced over to the manga section to read some puella magi
daisy took a plant book off a shelf, and sat down against the wall, Ans started reading, muttering the words. their sketchbook fell out of their bag, and the pages flipped open. daisy didn't notice a thing as they pulled in their earbuds.
Wil's sensitive ears heard the falling book, and he peeked his head into the aisle. They curiosity wanted to look at the drawings, but he knew better than to invade a strangers privacy. Uncontrollably mewing, he picks up and closes the sketchbook.
"Um, excuse me? *mew*"
'tears falling down at th—..' Daisy looked up and unplugged their headphones. 'can I help you ?' they shut the book.
"..okay!!" Wil grinned at them, ears flapping up and down a couple of times.
Wil stood there for a while in silence. He didnt quite get the hint that he should leave
"*mew!*..... oh!! Sorry!" he slowly walked away, facing daisy the whole time
"Oh!! Sorry for asking!! I just.... *mew!* i draw too, and i think that's really cool!!"
'no, its fine !' daisy moved to the side, and gently patted the floor next to them 'come sit , if you want'
Daisy smiled shyly .
'my name is , uh ," they considered telling the cat boy their name .
"You dont have to tell me if you don't want!" He smiles wide "I understand!! My name is Wil, though!!"
'thatssuchacoolname! ! my name is daisy .' daisy talked fast , and picked up their sketchbook , and grabbed a pencil from their bag .
'is it ok if i..draw you ? '
Wil's eyes widened, and their tail flicked back and forth rapidly. "YES DAISY YOU CAN TOTALLY DRAW ME!!" he exclaimed, but got shushed by a librarian so they mewed and covered their mouth. "*mew!*"
' ok ! ' daisy started sketching , and giggled a but . 'your fun wil .'
"Youre fun too, daisy!! How old are you?? Whats your favorite color?? Do you like baking????" Wil's mind was going a mile a second, obviously excited to have met a new friend
' thanks . im [real age here] . green ! sometimes . what about you ? ' daisy looked at their paper
"Oh!! Im [age], i love love LOVE purple, and baking is the absolute BEST!!" The same librarian shushed him, and he giggled
daisy smiled, and then signed their sketch , and took it out lf the sketchbook and handed it to Wil . 'here ,'
Wil's ears and tail flapped around excitedly, carefully wrapping their fingers around the paper. "That's so good!!" they squeal. "Thank you!!!!"
'of course! ' they smiled ,and their flower drooped a bit . they took a small water spray thing out of their bag , and spritzed the flower.
His eyes dilated, watching their flower with deep intent. "Woah...."
"And!! And its so cool that you know how to say ':)' out loud!!" Wil teased. "So what does the flower do?"
'thanks ! ' daisy thought for a moment . ' i dont actually know ! its just there . i do know though that if i dont keep it healthy i get sick .'
' yeah . i was going to go to [local restaurant] , if you wanna come ! '
They squeal quietly with joy, their feline parts flicking again. "Yeah!! Gimme a sec, though!" They quickly run over to put their textbooks and notebooks into their knapsack, and come back basically skipping with joy. "You first, new friend!! *mew!*"
daisy smiled , and reached for Wil's hand , and then pulled away , not knowing if they were comfy w that . 'lets go ! '
Wil reached out his hand in reply, more than eager to hold hands
'hm,' it was a laugh . a small laugh but it was a laugh. 'thanks for bein my friend .'
He giggled again, and turned to a restaurant. "This it?" he asks
"Okiee!!" He pranced to the front, placed their orders and gently dragged Daisy to some seats.
"Soo you sure youre okay? Im not great with social cues but i can tell when someones upset" Wil smiled
