LinkThey are very wary of strangers. Being defensive yet clumsy when it comes to nets. They're fish scales are this Seagrass green(look it up, very nice color) with a large sail like dorsal fin. This dorsal fin starts from the middle of their shoulders. All the way down to their tail fin. The webbing is a dark bright blue.

what if like tabi got stranded and he finds one of the merfolk while fishing for food like they get caught in a net he made
or he befriends one that they catch while he's with the rest of the crew
