with what type of sharpener? an electric sharpener ruins colored and drawing pencils use a hand held sharpener. Also the more you drop ur pencils the more fragile the graphite gets so it is more than likely easy to break

go slow but fast and trust me it will sharpen great I had this prob last night drawing Shoto but the slower you go the sharper it becomes (I SUCK AT ADVICE TTvTT)
