There was a guy who got hooked on radithor (I think) aka radium water His jaw fell off and he died

He hurt his shoulder and got recommended to take a tiny spoonful each day to ease the pain and so he did, and he found out it gave him energy and just made him feel better altogether - energised, awake, happy, just altogether good. So he started taking more and more over the course of 3 years, until I believe he was downing bottles a day. His jaw had to be surgically removed due to how deteriorated it was - falling off by itself practically, button turns out all of him was basically disintegrating. His skull formed holes and exposed his brain and he died in 1932, rotting from the inside out. His name was Eben Byers.

Because it is interesting and the drawing reminded me of this.
