That is true
It's really annoying with our default black being a gross mid Grey blue
Me personally, I can think of quite a few things
1. Putting the zoom toggle on the canvas at the bottom (THE WAY IT USED TO BE UGH), and then when you're done toggling it you can click zoom toggle again and go back to the previous tool
2. Making it far more mobile friendly. I hate it on mobile trust it sucks
3. Better graphical aesthetic, it's just not an artistically appealing site
4. Moderation - you could even get unpaid moderation because so many people here would be happy to help keep the community drama and tw free, I feel like that's the biggest mistake they made
5. Making accounts google linked, this prevents a spam of new accounts and links accounts to recoverable emails

tbh,,, filters like gaussian blur would be nice. also the ability to select which layer the paint bucket follows (i hate that i cant use the paint bucket on a separate layer from lineart...)
a better block feature. cause like. all blocking does is stop them from commenting. what if i dont wanna see their posts. uhmmm
i think the ability to change from a simple canvas/drawing tool selection (ex: the one we have now) to a more complex one would be nice. like. having a choice to pick between the two. that way people who like the way it is now can keep drawing and people who like a more complex editor can have what they need

i feel like theres one particular user, he who shall not be named, ruined it for everyone because he had a spam bot create over hundreds of accounts to follow him and boost himself
an option where you can look through featured animations and 18+ animations (I know some of y'all want the 18+ one ..) the disgusting green in the background of fa can be changed if you want for you,
maybe FA could actually pay people to work his website and it'd be more alive too, there's around 130 active users on here probs and we used to have A LOTTTT more

There's a github mod for flipanim that makes the green a grey
