Reiko is what’s know as a spirit stalker. They are a celestial like being(similar to nightmare and dream) usually with wings to help them fly.

Very few have been known to exist, and in the part of the world that reiko lives in. Him and his mother are the last two.

Due to humans hunting, other predators, and viruses. The species slowly died off.

They start off with no outer shell and are just brightly colored ghost like figures, but due to them being very vulnerable to other animals in this form, they over time developed this exoskeleton like shell as protection.

At first they were mistaken for small wendigos, when the first ones with the “armor” started appearing. They are still sometimes used as ghost stories due to this very reason.

To help with agility the outer shell looks like like a skeleton despite not actually being skellys.
