For once, he had his glasses on. Fell had insisted he wear them before his eyesight gets worse. Ezra hadn’t exactly wanted to, but he didn’t want to upset him either, so he just avoided everywhere people might see him and went to hide in the woods instead.

It did feel quite nice to be able to see the distance, however he was aware that his look was ruined and so was mumbling angrily to himself, slouching slightly as he sauntered along.

He briefly touched the side of his head, flinched and moved his hand away. That was gonna bruise.
“It does if they’re right there,” he grumbled, tucking his hand into his pocket. “That’s me. That’s how I work.”
“Exactly. Little kids come up with the stupidest, most immature and insulting jokes; the best ones. You just talk about death and being miserable.” He stuck his tongue out for effect, slouching and creasing his face.
He groaned, taking off his hat. When it wasn’t being squished down or tampered with, his hair was quite fluffy and curly, holding it’s own shape on the top of his head, loose strands adorning his forehead. “That’s no fun!”
“This,” he clutched the gray material, knuckles lightening. “Is why people don’t like teenagers.”

“You’re…” he fidgeted for a moment, eyes gazing at the floor. “Can’t think of the right word.”
He shuffled his feet, glancing back at Ez. The fist had startled him, but he was over it.
