It's square head is an eye that cant see color. The only way it can see color is if it takes thoughts/ideas of others, turns it into a rainbow substance that can only bee seen by him, and he takes it and pours it into tiny pores into his head. This way, nobody else sees the color exept him.
As he does this, he can see the colors of the world again. It all evaporates after an hour, so he does this to many others as well, since the Artist Block needs new and fresh thoughts, coming back on what he favors most.
