you are the king/queen(or prince/princess if you want) and you have been hearing rumours your trusted friend, the Jester, has been planning to overthrow you(or ic you're the prince/princess, your parents) and take the crown. be it murder or set up.
you are starting to think they are true but just to make sure you wanted to confront your friend first (or tell your parent(which would possibly end your friends life.))

Jacky walked the halls, dragging her dragon tail across the floor. she, asked the other servants to open the curtains and debated whenever her beloved jester was really that evil. "God, were are they?"

they skipped down the hall, humming some obnoxious song. turning the corner, they greeted the servants and day.
(yes, we do, we love the og)
She walked over and smiled. "Hello, Good day, isnt it?" She walked in circle around them, making sure they were clean, because well, she just didn't like her servants unpleasant looking.

they always kept themself tidy, they disliked dirt.
"truly lovely my queen, but not as lovely as you." Charming thing. then with a slight flick of their wrist a rose popped out of thin air and presented it to her.
she chuckled and took the rose and placed it into her hair. "aw, you and your charming self! But I'm going to interrupt this charm of yours"
"Follow me, now." she demanded, and started walking to her office.
they tilted their head but did as instructed, following closely behind.
Miko quietly hummed the song again, swaying slightly while walking.
she waited for Miko to enter the room and closed the door shut.
"Be honest, or this won't end good for you, I've been..Talking with some people, and heard that you planned to overthrow me and my Husband." She then eyed Miko.
their little smile faded and they took off their mask. "your majesty, i have no intentions of harming you or your loved one, im very happy where i am, being the beloved pet of the king and queen."
She walked closer to Miko, her eyes turning a deep red as she smirked. The Queen was always known to be very calm, but in this state everyone in the castle knew her mood was changed. "Kill him, kill my Husband, that bastard deserves to die."
She then whispers in Miko's ear. "I'll give you his crown if you get away with it? Do you understand."

they didn't protest, they found her to be quite intimidating like that and didn't want to upset her.
"i just..need to figure out how."

she huffed, smoke coming out her nose. "I'll help you, but I can only provide so much without anyone getting suspicious."

"mm..right.." they fiddled nervously. "ma'am..where did you hear about this..rumor?"

she leaned and closer and their noses touched, "I know my servants quite well~" she chuckled again and backed away.
they tilted their head. "are you implying..that im lying about not wanting to harm the king?"
she turned around surprised, "Yes? my husband would never hurt a fly, well other than me. So, I would suspect he would be your target rather than me."
they looked her up and down, pretty much sizing her up then smiled and hooked the mask onto their outfit.
"apologies my lady, i have some things to attend to." then quietly walked out of the room and down the hall.
fun fact, dragon women is actually my second smallest character
"Alright then." She said now more calmy, and started walking towards her bedroom.

They made their way back to their own room and once in, sat on their bed and started punching their pillow. "who told?!"

she went ahead and changed clothes and ordered the servants to blow out the candles and turn off the lights. Because, well the night was approaching. Her Husband came in to, with a sleepy drunk face.

they huffed and puffed for a good while then changed to their night clothes and searched the room.
Almost done
She woke up from her sleep, and headed towards her beloved jester's room. And knocked gently one the door. "are you awake?" she asked.
they opened the door and peered out at her. "i am now, did you need me?"
"Yes, I've came to ask how your planning is going." her tail flicked back and forth.
they opened the door more, quietly inviting her in. "come look."
she stepped in with a warm smile, "I'd also like to add, that tomorrow at midnight my husband will be taking the small path in the rose garden to his "lover's" place. she paused and started looking angry again. "That might be a time for you, to bring him to his life end."
"already thought about it. i have a place set up, my bow is there..it will be quick and most importantly silent.."
"Good job, my lovely jester."
She pat Miko's head gently and giggled. "I assure you, that we will be the best rulers in the kingdom, not even those dreadful angels can rule over me."
(Alright umbrella is gonna be a prince)
Umbrella:*he walks though the Castle looking for his dad*
DAMN TELLING ON MIKO WOW))
Miko spotted him quickly and ran up beside him, acting genuinely excited to see him.
"Your highness! good morning!!"
(No he isn't he HATES his dad because I guess in this au he killed his sweet mother and covered it up)
Umbrella:*he jumped*oh hey...uhm can I talk to you...

"Of course, anything you need sire?" they skipped beside him, smiling.
Umbrella:I heard your trying to kill my dad*he says in a whisper*I wanna help..
they stopped skipping and smiling, stopping in place then whispered back. "whatever do you mean?"
Umbrella:*he stops*its kinda going around my dad doesn't know yet...I'm not going to tell him
they blinked then started laughing. "oh how funny! this is a well planned joke!!" they giggled hysterically. "i didn't know you were so funny!!!"
Umbrella:*he looked at him his sad eyes showing he was serious*do you want to discuss this privately
they stopped and stared for a moment. "but my lord..i do not wish harm upon your father."
"y-yes sire. ill find the source and promptly put an end to them" they bowed respectfully and hopped (literally) away, off to find the source.
Umbrella:*he winced as his father called for him he then went to the throne room and sat down in his throne shyly as his advisers talk to his dad about something probably about him getting married*
the jester peaked their head into the room and smiled, waving to everyone then ran into the room then across to get to another door.
Umbrella:*he smiled as soon as he entered the room when he left he then immediately frowned when he left but his father noticed this*
King:you are fond of him hm?
Umbrella:*he shyly nodded*y yeah were friends
King:*his father just laughs*my son friends with a jester ha idiotic*he turns back to his adviseres as Umbrella looks down sadly about to cry*
Miko came running back in, a flock of chicken after them. "AHHHH!!" they hopped up onto a curtain, clinging onto the thing for dear life as the chickens ran around poking people and trying to get the fool.
Umbrella:*he tried to hold in his laughter but failed as his father was annoyed about beinging intrupted*
King:what is the meaning of this we are discussing important business
"im sorry your highness, someone stuffed the room with chickens.." they slowly slid down and started shooing the birds out. "ill take care of it!!"
King:thank you*he went back to talking*
Umbrella:*he smiled at Miko*
they got all them outside and skipped around the castle, waiting till they are needed.
Umbrella:*eventually he was let go after fighting about him being married which resulted in him being slapped his cheek was still red from the slap he then went outside around the village as two guards followed him so they could protect the young prince*
they waited in their room, sitting on the cot given to them. they were bored out of their little pea sized mind.
Umbrella:*he looks at a begger and gives them a little bag of coin he nodded as the person thanked him saying they would be a great king*
they laid down and looked at the bell that would ring when they were needed.
briefly they thought about sitting by the kings feet and wait there(much like a dog would).
Umbrella:*he eventually passes his room after wandering around for a while*
they nodded to themself and got up, making their way to the throne room.

Umbrella:*he eventually gets back to the throne room and sits down bord*
they skipped into the throne room, just to wait in there for a bit.
they looked at him too. they haven't seen him around. then again the place was big.
Gabriel:*he then went up to Miko*your highness requested I talk to you?
"hm? then speak! i haven't all day, im a very busy fool you know!"
Gabriel:*is ears twitched but he didn't seem fazed he then dropped his voice to a whisper*are you planning to kill the king?
they huffed. "my, and i thought i was filled with nonsense! for the second and hopefully last time, i do NOT wish to murder the king, and even if i did, what in the world would i get from it hm? i can't be ruler after he dies thats what the young prince is for. im just the jester now please!!" they hopped up out of their seat and hopped (again, literally.) away from him and went to their corner with their props.
Gabriel:*he just went back to umbrella and told them what happened*
Umbrella:hmm Wanna go out to the garden
Gabriel:*he nodded*
they mumbled quietly to themself. "stupid brat, who figured it out..? who told on me?"
they grabbed some throwing knifes and started to practice their juggling.
Umbrella:*is now sitting in the garden while Gabriel is in his lap and Umbrella is messing with his hair while Gabriel asks questions about random things and Umbrella answers them happily*
bored they walked outside to the garden.
Miko had walked right past them and to the right, going into a little hidey hole.
Umbrella:*he was jump humming to the small boy he now stopped asking questions and listened*
they came out a minute later and looked at them both, quietly staring and tilting their head.

(Yeah it's still a ship Gabriel and umbrella are just very very close because umbrella saved Gabriel's life and is caring for him because of his brain damage)
Umbrella:*he's just singing to Gabriel softly as the elf boy eyes are half closed*
okay, asking cuz, jelly jester sounded like a cool plot point.))
they walked up closer and loudly cleared their throat. "Your majesty i'd like to speak privately with you." they then lowered their voice. "matters about your father."
(Ooooh yesss))
Umbrella:*he looks at him sleepily before nodding he closes his eyes and kisses the brown haired boy on the head before Gabriel gets up and leaves he then pats the grass next to him*
their eye twitched then they bent down to whisper to him. "you were right..back in the hallway..i just didn't want to admit it..there was a maid behind us."
Umbrella:*his face gets serious*ok I won't tell him so what's your plan it's not gonna be easy with the guards checking everything he eats
"im going to make it look like an accident, i already have it planned out."
Umbrella:*he smiles*that's a good plan he like like 50 it something they'll probably think he died of old age
Umbrella:they'll crown me almost immediately and try and find Me a wife though what about that?
they hummed. "we can figure it out when the time comes, for now though..its almost time to eat." the stood up and walked back inside, they were to entertain when the royals ate today.
Umbrella:*he walked back thinking before he got a plan turning a bit red as Gabriel followed he then sat down at the table beside his father as Gabriel and other servants served them*
Miko was already in the room, juggling a few knifes while standing on a ball (with one foot).
they gave a slight glare to Gabriel. they were starting to dislike him a bit.
