I personally think that Chara doesn't really want to kill them all. I think there's something that happened to her after she died making her like that. (I also have this whole story on Chara and Asriel dying and making Flowey. Just my head canon tho.

i honestly dont really knw much about chara, thats why i dont ship this, cause all i konw bout her is that i found her at the end of the game and she had murder in her eyes so i just passed her off, there wasn't too much for me to investigate i thought, but when i saw someone spewing this thing about how she's "nice" i just blew it off, cause i just thought she was another monster that looks like a human, and frisk was obviously a giraffe. but like i just dont get it, the way she was portrayed in the game (or at least how i thought she was) was that she was evil, and thats that. i just saw these people who say all these things about her are making crap up because i saw no proof of what they say

What I think is just a headcanon. Because so little is revealed about her, I think we just like to go wild with theories and such
