As you can see lately I've made some controversial changes to couple of things here. So to made it clear, those are:
* longer cooldown period between posting animations
* cooldown period when commenting
* archiving comments for anims older than month
* archiving anonymous anims older than month
* enabled registration with couple resrictions
* added timed commenting restrictions for new accounts
I've tried to slow things down and just help me catch up with moderation. But yeah, things are not that simple. I see that it's more of a bandaid solution for a bigger problem. I apologize for that.
And yes, I saw your comments and feedback. Thank you for it. I didn't ban anyone just to silence them. I've tried to do this only when there was a bigger TOS violation, so it was not what you said, but how. In case of spamming multiple comments I always tried to delete duplicates and left original one.

LinkI've started FlipAnim as a hobby project to mess around with fairly new (back then) JS canvas. It was started as simple site with editor only, but soon I've added more social features, not thinking too much of it. It was managable by one person when it was small, but currently it is just too much for me, especially when it's just a side hobby project, not my full time job, where I can put all my attention. And many of you rightly noticed that at this point it can't be treated as one, there's need for a bigger changes.

LinkSo I've made difficult decision to phase out most of the social features of FlipAnim. At least for now, until I could better figure things out. That is comments and public gallery will be still active at least until 05 of April. Until then you can freely backup them using "Get your data" in your profile configuration and by downloading anims from your profile.
I've also made a tool to so you could easily delete your account if you want to. It's also available in your profile configuration as "Delete account".
Thank you for using FlipAnim, and I'm hope at least some of you enjoed it.

I know a ton of people will be upset about this but this is ultimately the best decision right now to prevent further harm from happening
I had a lot of fun here as a kid but I also had a lot of terrible things happen to me and I think this is ultimately for the best
