Linki assure you i don't think any neurotypical will be able to understand how nds work no matter how much research they do
nds will always know themselves better than everyone else, and while i am using neurodiverse people as an example this applies to pretty much everything. this also applies the other way around i think actually cause like im sorry i can't tell you how the **** neurotypicals do or think like ever??????? what are they doing

Linkalso!! a lot of info on pretty much any disorder or mental illness is outdated and based on white men which makes it a lot harder to apply to women and people of color which means they're going to get misdiagnosed or just not diagnosed at all

Linkjust take this into consideration before you, someone who doesn't have a disorder, claims a disorder or a mental illness is a certain way. you might be right you might be wrong but it's better to just let the people who actually have it speak on it, because wow, they know what the **** they're talking about.

yeah,,,
also!! people don't tend to understand that people with certain conditions /are/ the experts on them, //they're// the ones that understand it best. maybe they don't understand it medically, but otherwise? abso-****ing-lutely
and my most "favorite" thing ever is when this kinda scenario happens:
"so my doctor recently diagnosed me with this condition, i don't know if you've heard of it but it's-"
abled person bursting through a wall: HAVE YOU TRIED SNORTING KALE YOU SHOULD EAT YOGA GO TOUCH THE SUN I AM A MEDICAL EXPERT I READ A BLOG POST ONCE-
