Hey guys!!! Back when I was a newbie on this site, there was this old public help hotline. The volunteers on it used to help me feel better when I felt down. Unfortunately, they stopped running over a year ago, and I thought that maybe I could help others like how they used to help me. That's why I'm taking volunteers to help run a new one. There are quite a few positions available, I do hope you all will consider it!! Lmt

Available positions: - part-time hotline volunteers - unlimited positions -- just- be kind listeners - occasional hotline volunteers - unlimited positions -- look at part time requirements* - we'll need a few people to post inspirational quotes on our account - 5 positions available -- must be good with backgrounds, have nice handwriting - request list moderators (basically we're going to have a few posts where people can request to be talked to, your job to direct volunteers their way, and clean up comment sections) - 6 positions available - volunteer home page moderator (post strictly for inter-volunteer information, your job is to help other volunteers with their work.) - 3 positions available Hang on

- PUBLIC INFORMATION ANNOUNCER (keep the public up to date) - 5 positions available - volunteer help (since we're the only hotline, there's no hotline for us. If you sign up for this position you'll be helping other volunteers when they're stressed- and other volunteer helpers) - unlimited positions available - gritty volunteers (your job is to help clients with- well... grittier problems) - unlimited positions available -- carefully selecting people for this position All posts on the account are public- unless a volunteer is helping someone on a private post service can only be denied in these few cases: - staff is low and there are more important problems - there are urgent clients waiting - the client is rude/hurtful/harmful to the volunteers or other clients in any way Sobs Hang on

A few other things: As volunteers, if a specific client is a trigger person or is dealing with a trigger problem, you can ask another volunteer to help them instead Anyone has access to this hotline, unless service denial rule 3 is broken multiple times. Official account is to be made soon, along with 2 official discord servers (one for the public, one strictly for volunteers) all volunteers will be given the account pass code, but please try to use your main account for the majority. (Unless your job is quotes lol) If using the official account, please tag your comments. Multiple jobs i have undertaken in doing this, but as a fun little thing for our volunteers, there will be occasional shout outs to volunteers that are doing especially well!! May or may not become a weekly occurrence. Ok one last thing

Just a heads-up: I'm also officially starting a series VERY SOON, so if you're looking to apply for the production team please please PLEASE don't overshoot how much you can work on by also applying for this. Yeah! If a request moderator, you notice them asking for help, they’re tagging the hotline or if they just look like they could use some help, you try to help them with their problem, or just help them feel better. It’s not a 24-7 thing, and you pretty much just help when you want. Occasional volunteers have more flexibility. Just a warning, and this goes for everyone applying to the hotline job- if you don’t pull your weight or are selective about who you help (triggers are different, dw) you could lose your job.

Well, they’ll be venting for one,, I’m pretty fatigued but I’ll try to give out more telltale signs. If you suspect that someone is down you can just ask. Just don’t force anyone to talk if they don’t want to

If you see someone upset, discouraged, or venting YOU see if you can help them and if they deny then leave them be.

And if not you, tell a fellow hotline volunteer

Yes, that’s kinda the whole point,, Venting is when someone is letting out their anger/sadness- it’s hard to explain
