There are two forms of hello that are used. The most common form of hello is : Здравствуйте Zdra-vstvu-yte Its used in most formal situations, and usually if you are speaking to a group of people. Алло: Al-lo Usually used only over the phone, not in any other situation. Привет: Pre-vyet Another really common greeting, the English equivalent is "hi".
