Basically, even though he lost his wings a very, very long time ago; he still misses them, and he thinks he can still feel them on his back sometimes.
What if someone made a pair of fake wings he could use or used magic to heal them?
He’s tried both of those
His body literally rejected the artificial wings, and magic just left scars where his wings were-
