Bearkit looked around, his eyes wide in excitement and awe. I'm finally out of the Nursery! He thought. "There's so much to explore!" He mewed. He glanced at his siblings, Wishkit and Arctickit. "Where should we go first?" Wishkit asked them. "I wonder where the Warrior den is! We should try and find it!" Bearkit answered. He glanced over at his brother. "What do you think?" Bearkit meowed. "I think that's perfect! We'll still have lots to explore, though." Arctickit mewed. "I'll lead the way! But which den do you think it is?" "Probably that one." Wishkit meowed to Bearkit. "Let's go!" Arctickit said, looking as though he'd burst with excitement. Bearkit broke into a small run across the clearing. He could hear his siblings pattering after him.

He skidded to a halt, almost flying into the den before him. "Hellooooo?" He mewed, moving his head in. He glanced around, blinking his eyes, trying to adjust to the light. "No one's in here!" Wishkit meowed from beside him. "Let's check another den. How about that one?" Arctickit meowed, turning to a den. "Sure!" Bearkit answered, pattering his way too it. He peeked into the den, three cats were sound asleep. "I think this is it! Look!" He mewed. He felt Arctickit slide in beside him. Bearkit watched silently as his brother went to one of the cats. What's he doing? He thought to himself. He squinted, making out the pelt of the cat, a grey tom.

Arctickit pawed the tom, waking him. The kits flinched as the tom let out a small hiss. "What are you kits doing here, in the Warrior den?" The tom seemed to have woken the other cats that were asleep. "What's going on?" A bushy-furred white tom meowed. "Stonetalon, leave them alone! They're just kits!" A small, calico said. The calico stood up, shielding them slightly. The she-cat turned to the kits, looking down at them. "Is it your first time out of the Nursery?" She asked, her voice gentle. Bearkit meowed, "Yup!" "Would you like me to show you around?" She meowed. "That'd be great!" Arctickit responded. "Follow me, then." She meowed, leading them out. "That was the Warrior den. It's where you will sleep when you're a Warrior," She meowed, "Now, lets go to the apprentice den." The kits tumbled after her as she lead them to another den, hidden in the ground like the other. This is the one we mistook for the Warriors den! Bearkit thought. "This is where you will sleep when you're an ap

"This is where you will sleep when you're an apprentice." The calico said. Eventually, the kits had been shown every den. The kits were now exhaustedly laying in the Nursery. They were all curled up by their mother, Ashfeather, who was softly grooming them. Bearkit eventually drifted off to sleep, snuggled up with his siblings and mother.
