ok blAH so this boi is River He wasn't really a social person as a kid. He spent most of his childhood alone or without friends. -- Spring break. River's in 8th grade now, and he'd just turned 15. His family made him go on a beach trip one day, he was pale and hadn't gotten enough sunlight (plus family bonding time and whatever). He thought it was going to be the most horrible thing to ever happen to him (he was way wrong), he was despising it and really, REALLY didn't want to go. He was sitting near the shore, just chilling.. and someone around his age walked over to him. He was carrying a bucket, and it had a lot of different things he had collected, like shells and different rocks. River was confused, why would someone be coming up to HIM of all people? The boy told River that he had seen River alone at school, always sitting at lunch by himself and working by himself in projects. He introduced himself, and offered to help him make a sandcastle, and River felt happy for the fist time in months

Before the two knew it, they were best buddies and practically inseparable for years. They did everything together, they knew everything about eachother, they'd have sleepovers every weekend. They were pretty much like brothers to eachother. River started to develop a teeny crush, but of course he couldn't say anything to anybody.. - Just a normal day, two best buds just doin stuff together. (We were playing in the sand) Normal conversation, throwing random jokes at eachother, complaining about the heaps of history homework.. When River's friend said something about another friend of his. (And you found a little band) River's friend started hanging out with the other friend more. (You told me you feel in love with it) River missed his friend, wishing they hung out more. (Hadn't gone as I planned) River was constantly left by his friend to hang out with his new buddy.. (When you had to bid adieu) His friend kept talking about how fun his new friend was.. (Said you'd never love a new)

River thought if he hung out with the new friend as well, everything would be normal again.. (I wondered if I could hold it and fall in love with it too) ... River was pushed away constantly, his friend just lost it, told him to **** off. Friend just... ditched River. (You told me to buy a pony) River was hurt... and terribly heartbroken... he wished he could be with his 'friend' again... (But all I wanted was you...)

Well. There went his only friend.. the one person he trusted with his secrets... River was just... broken. He couldn't believe anyone would do that to him.. then he started wondering if it was his fault. If he was getting boring. He obsessed over it... for a long time... he just.. couldn't get over it... He felt stupid for thinking anybody would STAY friends with him... he beat himself up over it... He felt stupid for ever thinking he would have a true friend.
