A) You've been trying to avoid the nightmares for weeks. ever sense those scientists opened up that.. door. That door released something, and she wasn't human. You've been seeing things ever sense. figures in the corner of your eyes. a hand being around your ankle that has been seemingly just a illusion. tonight, it was different. you woke up to your ankles being grabbed by something wet and...slimy. but it was solid, to practically ripped you from underneath the covers and you were upside down. your eyes adjusing to the dark, there was a face. staring at you with interest and.. annoyance.

B) Your partner/family member/friend had died. you were upset, visibly, mentally, and physically tired. you swore you saw something when you saw your friend died. no one ever believed you though. you were at your lowest point, drinking heavily. you stared at the gun you had, sobbing a little. before you heard footsteps in front of you, they were heavy, you look up before passing out suddenly. you didn't know why, or how. until you woke up.. in a queen size bed. the sheets were the finest silk.

C) You were researching into the local disappearances. unsure of what dangers you are in for. you manage to find the possible source, a old warehouse. Going to investigate it, you got more than you bargained for. you were hit with a bat, and when you woke up.. you had a couple fingers gone. patched up complete in blood stained bandages. adrenline set in, fully waking you up only to see him. red, short hair. broken horns and elf ears. he grinned, sitting at the desk with a bowl of blood..

The face tilted its head, seeming to circle Sylvia. examining her with great interest. before dropping her. The room seemed to be fit for some royality. it had a gothic look to it. like a medieval castle. soon, the man you saw hovering over your loss came through the door. large wings on his back, a tray of food and drink in his hands.

another object, same as before. grabbed her by the leg. a tired groan being heard. He sat at the edge of bed. "i got you some food, your loss very unexpected."

the object gripped tightly and tugged at her foot. another one wrapping up and around her leg. he huffed. "eat. your death was not timed at that moment."

"you are keeping me awake." the voice, it was feminine. deep but soft. she was annoyed. He grumbled. "nonsense, you mortals need to eat. its in your nature." he huffed, going over to them.

with that, she let go. the clicking of heels getting closer. "why won't you let me sleep, they have released me for some reason." He paused, raising a brow. before sitting down beside them. sighing, a wing unfolded and wrapped around her like a blanket.

he simply nodded, pulling her close. She snarled, a struck of lightning from outside briefly lighting up the room. revealing a tall woman, Tentacles patrooding from her back and from the floor. "why do you insist of keeping me awake?"

she snarled. "your keeping me awake! how do you keep me awake? I wish to sleep. I'm tired." he sighed, grumbling and patting her back. he hated that she was getting his best and suit wet.

after a while his grouchy attitude softened, sighing he ruffled her hair. she huffed. "you see me! you see my shadows. my terrors."

she paused. "well maybe we can help each other." she huffed. He sighed. "now, now. stop that crying.." he patted their back.

she huffed, "we figure out how to help each other." he put on his best smile, "i ain't used to comforting the living, but, your friend made me a deal. i gotta keep you from hurting yourself. there final wishes."

he nodded. "some people i take to the afterlife have final wishes. if it helps them achieve and move on, i'll do such wishes." She huffed, "i'm not sure, no one keeps me awake."

a man walked in, Black hair slicked back with hair gel. the room was a dark shaded room. medieval some might say even. he walked over to the bed with a tray of food and a drink. dark red, oversized wings trailing behind him.

he raised a brow, he was used to being feared. "I am no danger to you, I have brought you.. food." he seemed skeptical by the concept of food.

he grumbled. "you shpuld eat, and don't even bother searching for the gun." he snarled a little at the thought. but he wasn't..mad. just disappointed for some reason.

he raised a brow. "but you are mortal. you be nourishment, do you not?"

he grabbed her hands. "don't. you'll make it worse. I don't want you dying before your time." he grumbled. he clearly didn't like it when people died early.

he nodded, letting go. "I've heard you talk about me, it's very rare for you mortals to see me. did anyone believe you?"

he rolled his eyes, seeming to not believe her. "please. you mortals are strange enough as is."

he laughed. "everyone has a death date. even I do." he smiled, his wings fluttering a little.

he shook his head. "oh no, I don't know the death dates myself. I simply come to deliver the souls. wait throughout the day until the moment you take your last breath."

he shrugged. "it wouldn't be much better if you did know. make you paranoid. though i think seeing me throughout the death day is a little paranoia itself." he laughed a little, getting up.

He raised a brow. "hm." was all he said, staring into the mirror. adjusting his vest.

he was fixing his clothing. "you can stay as long as you like, there are fresh clothes on the table. along with a brush for that bed head of yours."

he nodded, "please, even I get a bed head."

There was humming coming up from the otherside of the door. someone knocked before walking inside. Black, slicked back hair and crimson wings that fade to black. The man had a tray of food and a cup of water.

he paused, setting the tray down on a small table. "hey, i ain't here to harm you at all."

He nodded, smiling. "i uh, got you.. food? is that what you lesser beings call it?"
