*one chilly but calm evening Amy was walking around still in her uniform, possibly just getting through with patrol. Today was..uneventful as usual so of course she didnât expect much to happen, she was just sauntering around the place in her heels trying to find a certain nerd she thought about all through that day because well- she didnât want to be bored with nobody to keep her in good company. In another part of the city not too far off from their part something else seemed to be roaming the darkness, something that didnât belong there, or perhaps someone...*
The man wore that same old small, dorky smile as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and walked around with a girl that seemed just a few years younger than him. He laughed gently, smiling as he spoke her her about the area, in his hands rested a few came files. The shorter woman wore a messy green coat over her baige and tan sweat and black pants with checkered vans. Her black hair fell a bit into her face as she looked around with a soft sigh, she smiled, but it was wary and uncertain, she almost felt bad for the nerdy cop for ending up having to deal with her.
Amy: *her heals clacked against the pavement as she continued on while humming a tune sheâd heard from one of those cop shows she was into. The woman took a look around at the scenery and how calm it was, maybe a bit too calm..it almost made her uneasy, it was odd since she normally didnât feel that way about a peaceful evening like this. Before she got so deep into thought she heard the noise of familiar laughter and looked further ahead noticing William in the distance and with a woman she didnât recognize. Amy decided to make her way over with a smile*
He ran his fingers through his hair a bit as he smiled happily, genuinely, for the first time in a while with it not being because of Amy. Speaking of the devil⌠his brows raised a bit when he saw the firmiliar woman and his freckled cheeks almost immediately tinted a soft shade of pink, his smile widening, he hurried over her to hug the woman, sure it hadnât really been t h a t long, but he missed her and loved the woman.
The girl followed along behind him, her brows raising a bit.
He nodded gently, sighing happily as he rubbed her back for a moment before gesturing to the girl watching them, she had deep hazel eyes with what looked somewhat like stars as pupils. âThats great, Iâm glad youâre safe- t-this is Dakota, Iâm helping teach her what i do in my job since the academy she went to didnt teach it too well.â
Amy: you guys wanna walk together for the remaining shift? *she rocked back and forth on her heels hoping theyâd say yes, Amy didnât want to be left alone like before it just gave her an off feeling unlike the day before. she couldnât explain it but she kept it to herself thinking it might just be her*
William nodded quickly as he turned to dakota with a gentle smile. âWanna join us? I think youâve had enough to take in for today anyways, I wouldnât want to overwhelm you or anything-â
The girl seemed to hesitate for a moment, glancing around before giving a small nod, she didnât really want to be alone feeling like this, especially in a new town.
He chuckled a bit as he rolled hos eyes, glancing around a bit, the hair on his neck seeming to raise as the odd vibes began to get to him, he continued looking around, anxious something high happen but he kept on a smile. "I don't mind-"
The girl sighed a bit as she followed, almost feeling like a third wheel to the two, but ten again she didn't mind too much, at least she wasn't really bothering anyone. But she contonued searching for something that night be more exviting, though, her attention was pulled to William after he finally spoke up. "have you heard about, some shadow guy spotted arpunf??? I've jeard, a few reports of soe!thong like that, from a red head chick and, that half faced lion.."
He seemed to hesitate for a moment, before nodding in agreement with her. They did seem pretty descriptive and terrified though, they didn't have much to back them up so there wasn't much he could do, if anything they sounded insane. He sighed a bit, glancing down as he thought to nimself, but he did recall, sabir was known around the police department, she came off as afraid of them and never came for them for anyhin, even if her life was on the line. Yet she came to them because of the figure.
Unlike how William showed himsekf, the girl seemed much more interested and intrigued with the conversation as she tried to smile as innocently as possible. "What have you heard about him-?? I haven't, heard of anything about it-"
Amy: *as they got closer the weird feeling in the air got worse, like her gut was trying to tell her something but she shrugged it off as just being weirded out* really? Youâre pretty lucky, even if they sounded like they were lying itâd still keep you wondering. I heard he had like- this weird grin and he was really tall- like slender man or something-
She listened with interest as she nodded slwoly, smiling a bit as she pushed her hands into her pockets. "It'd be one hell of a thrill to see him huh-"
William seemed to hesitate. His sudden anxiety only growing worse but he contonued to try and ignore the feeling as his gaze moved to the ground. "I just find it weird several people have seemed to see him- I've heard that too- and that, he came across manic, or even insane or something like that-"
Amy: *as they continued walking Amy ended up stepping in a puddle..a...thick..puddle. She glanced down at the dark substance, maybe it was rain? Did it even rain though? *she suddenly stopped in the middle of the puddle still holding Williamâs hand tightly, she sounded as if she was on edge now but kept it to a minimum as best as she could* ..am- am I the only one getting weird vibes here?
His brow raised a bit as he gently rubbed her thumb, trying to help her relax as he quicky tugged her away from the liquid, his brows knitting as he seemed to hesitate, that sabir had mentioned something about him melting into something like that. He frowned, holding her close as her tense aura and his own jumpy behavior only weighed more on his anxiety as he gave a shaky breath, shaking his head gently and quickly. "I-i dont, like it one bit."
The girl nodded a bit, by she didn't seem as on edge as the two of them, if anything she looked intrigued and eager to find out more despite the circumstances. She sighed a bit, not wanting them to run off and leave her on her own to investigwte. "it wouldn't hurt to keep looking, besides, im, sure its nothing- I don't feel it."
(My apologies, I have to go due to a migraine)
Amy: *his touch seemed to have relaxed her ever so slightly, she stayed close to him* mmh..m-maybe but- Dakota- what if heâs real?
*from behind something had been watching them from the dark alleyway where the puddle was, the creature stared for a moment before a grin slowly grew on his face*
No problem dude please feel better <3
She rolled her eyes, huffing a bit as her fists began to ball, she sure hoped so. "He's not, its probably just some dumb old tail now lets go, it wouldn't hurt to look around-" she frowned a bit, her eyes averting as she began to walk. "Pkus, didn't you want to eat? What's the point in scaring yourself-"
Amy: I..guess youâre right- *she sighed, looking ahead. She couldnât help but still feel an odd chill running up and down her body but started thinking it mightâve been her overreacting or- something of the sort Amyâs eyes darted around realizing how dark it had gotten but soon enough her attention went back to Dakota when she began to walk again*
*at the moment the Thing was a bit unstable but still decided to run errands as planned..though a couple of cops got in the way who were now sprawled out in the back of the alley, the woman from before couldâve easily just looked to the side and seen him and he was just waiting to kill her too if sheâd seen what was laying in the back behind him*
William sighed a bit, frowning as he held her hand tightly, he hurried along, trying to pull Amy along closely as he felt a sick feeling begin to ball in his chest. and chills all across his body.
While the woman could feel how off it was just as much as the others, it was clear she was much more interested and intended on getting a couple of answers. She glanced around, pausing at the figure, had she been seeing things?"
*the dark figure only stared back at her with no signs of movement, it was obvious even if it had no pupils youâd still get the same feeling of being stared at by unblinking eyes such as those. At the moment it wasnât smiling due to the fact her eyes landed on it, it had more of a face of a lost animal if anything but there was something eerie about it. For him the easiest thing to do was kill her before her friends knew about it but heâd already made a mess of the ones in the back of the alley, would he be able to avoid suspicion if he did that once again?*
Amy: *sheâd noticed how the Dakota had paused and raised a brow in concern, still tightly holding Williamâs hand* hey, you okay?
She blinked a few times as she hesitsted, staring right at him, sure there was some tension there, but she didn't look afraid, if anything she looked curious. Not responding to the woman, she slowly began approaching him as if he were some animal, not wanting to provoke him as her lips larted, her hand moving to hold out.
William whined a bit when she stopped, Jr felt awful about the area. He frlqned, gently pulki nug at her hand as he huffed, looking back to the girl approaching the figure.
Amy: *it felt as if they'd been there for what felt like hours when really it mightâve been less than that, it was odd what anxiety does to the brain. She didnât quite understand what had caught the womanâs eye but it mustâve been some stray dog or perhaps a deer with the way she was going near it*
*well there was no hiding away now. At the moment the creature couldnât think straight due to his unstable state, his mind was racing with different plans he could try to get himself out of the situation but none of the plans stuck with him, it felt like a bunch of kids talking to him at once and it was hard to understand, perhaps he didnât understand the urgency of the situation either with how close she was coming to the completely dark alleyway he had been hiding out in. He only continued peeking out at the approaching cop as if waiting for her to come closer*
Her voice grew soft as she grinned a bit, only a few feet away from him as her eyes spftebed. "Heeeyyy..." She continued reaching forward AZ she tried to touch his face, shed never seen anything like him, besides movies and such.
William watched, his slightly trembling hand moving to the gun on his belt
*it only watched, staring her dead in the eye. The tall dark creature seemed almost peaceful and surprisingly enough it didnât recoil from her either, well- in anyoneâs eyes itâd be some curious creature..*
Amy: *she seemed to tense up a bit when she started reaching up towards its face, something about it didnât sit right with her and now seemed to be the right time to start listening to her gut-*
Makarov: *once the womanâs hand got close enough to his face he swiftly grabbed her wrist, holding a firm grip on it while holding the same look he had on his face when she first seen him*
Her lips parted a bit as she moved closer, her eyes grew a bit wide and she flinched when it grabbed her. Her brows began to knit as she scanned his expression, a it freaked out with the sudden movement as she tried to pull her hand away, shocked a bit by that grin of his. It made her think back to the conversation they had hast before.. and that black puddle. Almost letting fear into her eyes as she tugged a and pulled at her wrist.
